A femoral component (10) and a tibial component (100) are respectively configured to exclusively couple with the distal end of a femur (11) bearing a femoral prosthesis (12) and with the proximal end of a tibia (101 ) bearing a tibial prosthesis (102). The femoral component (10) has a distal portion (16) configured to face the distal end of the femur (11), bearing distal positioning holes (28, 29) facing a distal region (14) of the femoral prosthesis (12). A frontal portion (15) extends on the continuation of the distal portion (16) and has a first abutment area (17) operating against the femur bone part and a second area (19) facing a frontal region (13) of the femoral prosthesis (12). The frontal portion (15) has at least two guide holes (20) at the first abutment area (17), and at least two frontal positioning holes (21) at the second area (19).
A method obtained by means of computer for checking the correct alignment of a hip prosthesis, comprising the steps of: - detecting a 3D model of the pelvic bone (20') of a patient in a preoperative phase; - detecting at least one 2D image of the pelvic bone (20'') in post-implant situation; - selecting an image of the 3D model according to a first inclination thereof and detecting a reference element (40) on said selected image of the 3D model; - identifying a plurality of reference points (50) on the 2D image; - superimposing the 2D image on said selected image of the 3D model; - checking the correct superimposition and correspondence of the reference points (50) of the 2D image with the reference element (40) with said image of the 3D model; - generating a signal representative of a value of compliance to a predetermined superimposition criterion between the reference points (50) of the 2D image and the reference element (40) of the selected image of the 3D model; - detecting possible differences in the positioning of the pelvic bone in post-implant configuration with respect to the preoperative situation as a function of the superimposition and correspondence of the reference points of the 2D image with the reference element of the image of the 3D model.
