Abstract
A tissue papermaking machine is described, comprising a wet section (2) and a press section (3) comprising a single press (11) with first and second press elements (12, 13) forming a press nip (N1), and with a press felt (17) running through the press nip in contact with the formed fibre web (1'), whereby the second press element is arranged inside the loop of the press felt, and a smooth belt (14) runs through the press nip in contact with the formed fibre web, whereby the first press element is arranged inside the loop of the belt, and a transfer roll (16) arranged inside the loop of the belt forming a transfer nip (N2) with a drying surface (20), whereby the smooth belt carries the fibre web between the press nip and the transfer nip. Furthermore, the machine has a dry section (4) for final drying of the fibre web (1"). According to the invention, a pre-dewatering device (25) is arranged upstream of the press to dewater the fibre web to a dry content of 15-30%, before the fibre web runs into the press nip, and the press felt and the smooth belt, which is impermeable to water, are arranged to be separate from each other immediately after the exit of the press nip and define there between an angle α, which is at least 5°, to prevent rewetting of the fibre web. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a tissue paper web therein and a method of lowering the energy requirement therein.

Abstract
An apparatus for transferring a wet paper web from a press nip to a drying cylinder (52) of a papermaking machine, and for structuring the web, comprises an impermeable transfer belt (35) having a web-contacting surface, the wet paper web passing through the press nip enclosed between a press felt (33) and the transfer belt, and a permeable structuring fabric (37) for transfer of the web onto the drying cylinder, the structuring fabric having a structured surface and being arranged in a loop within which a suction transfer device (38) is disposed, said suction transfer device having a suction zone (41). According to the invention the web-contacting surface of the belt has a non-uniform distribution of microscopic-scale depressions, and that the suction zone includes a transfer point (40) spaced a distance D from the press nip along which the belt runs, the belt being arranged to bring the web into contact with the structuring fabric in the suction zone for a length L, such that suction is exerted on the paper web to transfer the paper web from the belt onto the structuring fabric. at the transfer point.

Abstract
The inventive idea is to make the rotating elements or rolls in a tissue papermaking machine with a reduced weight comparing to the conventional rolls made of steel. In this manner the rolls create less vibrations and allow sufficiently increase of the operation speed and productivity of the entire machine, or reduce the machine dimension for a given operation speed comparing to the conventional solutions. The invention is applicable to rebuilds of the existing machines and for new high-speed installations.
