Abstract

An adjustable snowplow is provided, the adjustable snowplow including a center blade and first and second wing blades each positioned on opposite ends of the center blade. A channel is provided along a back and length of the center blade. First and second wing bars are provided, attached to respective backs of the first and second wing blades, and configured to be slidably received within the channel for reciprocal movement. In this manner, the blades are moved inwardly toward or outwardly away from the center blade, thereby adjusting an overall width of the snowplow. The channel includes a cross-sectional shape defined by a plurality of surfaces. One or more gaps are respectively formed in one or more of the plurality of surfaces, to permit snow and water that would otherwise be trapped to fall and/or flow away from the adjustable snowplow.

Abstract

An auxiliary lighting system may operate with a controller that is electrically connectable to a vehicle's electric plug. The controller may have a microprocessor that is programmed to perform at least one of these functions: (A) prevent a front facing auxiliary turn signal light from going into an ON condition when a brake on the vehicle has been activated; (B) operate auxiliary turn signal lights into alternating ON and OFF conditions that match the simultaneous ON and OFF conditions of the vehicle's turn signals; and, (C) prevent the vehicle's electronic control unit from detecting that the controller is electrically connected to the electric plug.

Abstract

An auxiliary lighting system using a vehicle's electric plug is disclosed. A signal may be transmitted from the plug to an auxiliary implement attached to a vehicle. The signal may be sent through a wire bundle (wiring harness). The auxiliary lighting system does not require rewiring of the vehicle's wiring harness. A normally closed relay pack is included with the auxiliary lighting system that prevents simultaneous operation of the vehicle's headlights and the auxiliary lighting system.

Abstract

An auger may have a spiral blade that extends radially outwardly from a shaft and that has resiliently-deformable material at the radial outer edge that physically contacts the inner surface of the tube in which the auger is positioned. When the auger is not rotated, the physical contact of the resiliently-deformable material on the inner surface of the tube may prevent granular material from flowing through the opening in the tube.

Abstract

A support assembly that includes first and second frame components may be used to support a plow blade to a vehicle. The first frame component may have a first end defining a first pivot axis about which the plow blade pivots when it is moved side-to-side. The second frame component may have a first end that defines a second pivot axis about which the second frame component, the first frame component and the plow blade pivot when the plow blade is raised or lowered. A second end of the first frame component may be pivotally attached to a second end of the second frame component about a third pivot axis. The first frame component and the plow blade may automatically pivot together about the third pivot axis to maintain the plow blade in a level orientation even when the plow blade is both raised and moved side-to-side.

Abstract

A flow gate includes first and second body members, first and second flow control members, and first and second locking mechanisms. The first and second body members operatively attach to and detach from each other. The first and second flow control members adjust between an open position, a closed position, and a plurality of partially opened positions. The first and second locking mechanisms selectively prevent and allow adjustment of the first and second flow control members. The first and second flow control members prevent the flow of material from an associated spreader when both the first and second flow control members are in the closed position, and allow the flow of material from the associated spreader when either the first or the second flow control member is in the opened position or in one of the plurality of partially opened positions.
