Abstract

An aqueous polyelectrolyte composition for (pre-)treating textile material, its preparation and application as well as therefrom produced textiles, as for example denim textiles. It was found that textile material pre-treated with said aqueous polyelectrolyte composition possess improved properties in terms of subsequent steps as for example in mercerization or dyeing since said subsequent steps are more superficial on pre-treated textile material.
