Abstract

The invention relates to biodegradable composite articles comprising an expanded polylactic acid (PLA) core and a composite fibre shell that can be easily recycled via an environmentally friendly extraction process. Methods for preparing said articles by 3D printing, and methods for recycling said products at the end of its usable lifetime are also provided.
