Abstract

The invention relates to a semi-submersible spar-type offshore fish farm (1) for cultivating fish at open sea that in use comprises a number of cassettes (7) each having an excess positive buoyancy and being a floating stable netted cage structure. A respective cassette can be connected with respective first and second elongated rigid truss structures of a first set of elongated rigid truss structures (9) of said fish farm via respective first and second connection assemblies of a first set of connection assemblies (12) that allow said cassette to float above said first and second truss structures. Said first and second connection assemblies comprise respective elongated connection elements (13) extending between said cassette and said first and second truss structures allowing floating movements of said cassette relative to said first and second truss structures. The invention also relates to a method of offshore installing a cassette in said fish farm.
