A push button switch assembly for a vehicle includes an elastic button that is moveable between a first unactuated position and a second actuated position. An actuator is disposed adjacent a plate and is pivotable between a first position and a second position. The actuator includes a magnetic element. When the elastic button is in the first unactuated position the magnetic element biases the actuator into the first position, and when the elastic button is moved to the second actuated position, a force applied to the elastic button is transmitted to the actuator such that the force overcomes the magnetic attraction and permits the actuator to pivot to the second position while providing a tactile haptic response. When the actuator is moved to the second position, a hall sensor senses a change in the magnetic field of the magnetic element.
A dual push button switch assembly for a vehicle includes an elastic button being moveable between a first unactuated position and a second actuated position, an actuator that is movable between a first position and a second position, and first and second switches. When the elastic button is in the first unactuated position, a resilient dome biases the actuator into the first position, and when the elastic button is moved towards the second actuated position, a force applied to the elastic button is transmitted to the actuator to move the actuator towards the second position, and wherein as the actuator moves towards the second position, the first and second switches are activated.

A push button switch assembly for a vehicle includes a housing having a plurality of walls that collectively define an inner space, and an elastic button that is moveable between a first unactuated position and a second unactuated position. A plate is positioned in the housing and an actuator is pivotable between a first position and a second position. The actuator includes a magnetic element. When the elastic button is in the first unactuated position, the magnetic element biases the actuator into the first position, and when the elastic button is moved to the section actuated position, a force applied to the elastic button is transmitted to the actuator to pivot the actuator to the second position.
An assembly for housing electrical components of a power distribution system. The assembly includes a housing and a cover for enclosing an inner cavity of the housing. At least one connection location is on the housing and is configured for attaching one of a plurality of adapters to the housing. Each adapter includes a body having a surface engageable with the housing, an element for securing the body to the housing; and a mating feature engageable with a respective mating feature of the housing for fixing an orientation of the adapter relative to the housing.
