Abstract

A method and plasma-generating device for generating a plasma flame with a plasma combustion gas blown in a plasma flame direction from a plasma combustion chamber through a plasma flame opening. The plasma combustion chamber is arranged in a cavity resonator to which microwave energy is supplied and generates plasma. A swirling gas is blown into the plasma combustion chamber by a swirl-generating device to generate a swirling gas shell which surrounds the plasma flame and shields a plasma combustion chamber wall composed of a dielectric solid material. The plasma combustion chamber wall protrudes along the plasma flame direction beyond the cavity resonator in both directions and is fixed in a plasma combustion chamber wall holder a distance from the cavity resonator. The plasma combustion chamber wall holder has at least one holder cooling cavity through which a coolant flows.

Abstract

A device (1) for combining or splitting microwaves has a combined-wave guide (2), in which microwaves with a wavelength suitable for the combined-wave guide (2) can propagate in a combined-wave guide propagation direction (7). The device (1) has at least two single-wave guides (4) which open into a coupling region (3). Via the coupling region (3), microwaves can be transferred between the single-wave guides (4) and the combined-wave guide (2). At the opening into the coupling region (3), the single-wave guides (4) each define a single-wave guide propagation direction (10) for the microwaves propagating through the single-wave guides (4), which single-wave guide propagation direction differs from the combined-wave guide propagation direction (7). The single-wave guide propagation directions (10) of all single-wave guides (4) extend perpendicularly to a common coupling plane (12). The combined-wave guide propagation direction (7) extends in or parallel to the coupling plane (12). The temperature detection device (3) can have a temperature sensor and a control temperature sensor so that the temperature value detected by the temperature sensor can be compared with a control temperature value detected by the control temperature sensor continuously or in time intervals, and a differential temperature value can be formed.

Abstract

The invention relates to a magnetic field generation apparatus (2) for a magnetron (1) comprising a permanent magnet arrangement (4) and a magnetic field conductor device (6). The magnetic field conducting device (6) has a diverting element. The diverting element, which consists of a plurality of rectangular diverting segments, is arranged detachably on the magnetic field generation apparatus (2) during maintenance work in order to deflect a magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet arrangement (4) away from further components of the magnetic field generation apparatus (2) and components of the magnetron (1). The invention also relates to a magnetron (1) comprising a magnetron tube (3) and comprising a magnetic field generation apparatus (2). The magnetic field generation apparatus (2) is configured as described above. The invention additionally relates to a method for replacing an old magnetron tube (3) of a magnetron (1) as described above with a new magnetron tube (3). In a first step, the diverting element is arranged on the magnetic field generation apparatus (2). In a subsequent step, the old magnetron tube (3) is removed from the magnetron (1) and replaced with the new magnetron tube (3) in order to then remove the diverting element again.
