A control arrangement for a pump comprises a dual switch control of a pressure switch (10) provided inside a pump head together with a high current sense (12). A water outlet apparatus comprises a hand-held tubular wand in two co-axial rotatable parts in which at or towards the outer end of an outer part water outlet means is provided.
