Also disclosed herein is a method of forming hollow 1 D, 2D and 3D structures by immersing the solid 1 D, 2D or 3D structure into a gelation bath, where the gelation bath comprises water and a suitable crosslinking agent.

A method of BIM reconstruction for a piping system is provided. This document describes a virtual sensor module for generating spatial-temporal temperature measurements of a battery and a method of using the virtual sensor module to generate the above-mentioned measurements. The virtual sensor module utilizes a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller module communicatively coupled to a trained convolutional neural network—long-short-term memory (CNN-LSTM) module to trigger the trained CNN-LSTM module to generate a refined predicted series of real temperature sequences across the battery, based on a set of optimized PID parameters (K*p, K*i, K*d), predicted error sequences, and measured temperature sequences of the battery.

Abstract

A system and method of monitoring nutrient supply and crop health to perform crop health monitoring and analysis, including crop leaf health monitoring, crop root health monitoring, plant growth stages, stress and disease monitoring, root growth stages, disease monitoring, and exudates monitoring. Nutrient monitoring and analysis include elemental emission analysis, quantitative chemical composition analysis, including the nutrient levels in the system and specific elemental components of the nutrients. Real-time, onsite monitoring using reuseable samples is possible, with no sample preparation required. Reference libraries are used as training data for machine learning models. Machine learning-based classification is applied to enable crop phenotyping and disease detection (including customized vegetation indices and spectral indices), in which the spectral information together with two-dimensional spatial information is used to identify the plant. The system may include UV-Vis-NIR imaging spectroscopes and a sample flow cell for use with a laser based elemental emission spectroscope.

Examples of a three-dimensional (3D) printing method are disclosed. In one example method, an intermediate object is generated by i) forming a build material layer with build material particles, ii) based on data derived from a digital 3D model, applying a binder agent to at least a portion of the build material layer, the binder agent consisting of polyfurfuryl alcohol dissolved in an organic solvent, iii) evaporating the organic solvent and precipitating the polyfurfuryl alcohol out of solution by heating the build material layer to a first temperature, thereby binding the build material particles with precipitated polyfurfuryl alcohol in the at least the portion of the build material layer, and iv) repeating the spreading, selectively applying, and the heating steps. A carbon residue is then produced from the precipitated polyfurfuryl alcohol throughout the intermediate object by heating the intermediate object to a second temperature.

Initial exemplary compounds include SrSc0.5Ir0.5O3 (SSI) and SrCo0.5Ir0.5O3 (SCI). M1 and/or M2 cations are selectively leached from the initial compound to produce a catalyst having substantially increased catalytic performance. Cycling SSI or SCI in an acid produces SSI-H or SCI-H; cycling SSI or SCI in a base produces SSI-OH or SCI-OH. Disclosed herein is the use of a compound of formula I, or a salt or a solvate thereof, in the treatment of a bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium abscessus, where the compound of formula (I) has the following formula: I where: R1, Ra, R2, R3, X, Y, Z and R4 are as defined herein. Also disclosed herein are combination treatments using the compound of formula I and pharmaceutical formulations comprising said compound. A method of controlling a follower ground robot for tracking a leader ground robot as a leader- follower pair is provided. The follower ground robot includes a mobile platform configured to travel on a ground and a depth sensor configured to be rotatable with respect to the mobile platform for rotating a sensing direction. The method includes: obtaining a current color image and associated depth information of a scene captured by the depth sensor; determining a scene point set based on the current color image and the associated depth information; obtaining pixel coordinates of the leader ground robot in the current color image; determining a sensing direction control input for controlling, by rotating the depth sensor, a sensing direction of the depth sensor based on the scene point set; determining a navigation control input for controlling a movement of the mobile platform based on the pixel coordinates of the leader ground robot and the scene point set; and controlling the sensing direction of the depth sensor and the movement of the mobile platform based on the sensing direction control input and the navigation control input, respectively, for tracking the leader ground robot and maintaining the leader ground robot within a field of view of the depth sensor. The present disclosure refers to a method of electrochemical conversion of organic waste to organic acid and hydrogen, comprising the steps of: (i) subjecting organic waste to ball milling under alkaline or acidic conditions to obtain pre-treated organic waste; (ii) introducing the pre-treated organic waste to a first compartment of an electrochemical cell, wherein the electrochemical cell comprises: the first compartment containing a nickel-based anode, a second compartment containing a cathode, and an electrolyte; and (iii) applying an electrical potential between the anode and the cathode, thereby producing organic acid at the anode, and hydrogen at the cathode.
