Abstract
Disclosed is novel means that enables collection of embryos from the uterus of a living livestock animal, especially cattle, easily in a short time with the same accuracy as that achieved by a skilled technician. A livestock embryo collection apparatus of the present invention comprises: two syringes; a liquid transfer line for connecting a perfusate supply section-a syringe I-a balloon catheter-a syringe II-an embryo collection section; a liquid transfer direction control section for controlling the direction of transfer of a perfusate in the liquid transfer line; and a syringe pump control section for controlling pump operation of the two syringes. By this apparatus, injection and removal of the perfusate can be quickly carried out by simultaneous operation of the two syringes by the syringe pump control section and the liquid transfer direction control section that work in a coordinated manner, so that the working time for collection of embryos can be largely reduced, and so that embryos in the uterus of a living animal can be collected easily, quickly, and with the same accuracy as that achieved by a skilled technician.

Abstract
Disclosed is a vaccine for non-human animals, which vaccine enables effective immune induction in non-human animals such as livestock or poultry. The vaccine for non-human animals of the present invention comprises liposomes each comprising an antigen molecule(s) bound to the surface thereof, the antigen molecule(s) being derived from a pathogen infectious to the non-human animals. The non-human animals are, for example, livestock or poultry. One most preferred example of the vaccine according to the present invention is an infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) vaccine, which is effective against various isolated IBV strains, and which is expected to be sufficiently applicable even to cases where a mutant strain appeared. Another preferred example of the vaccine according to the present invention is a PRRSV vaccine, which was confirmed to have an effect that reduces fever, lung lesion development, and the like caused by the infection. The present invention enables development of liposome vaccines effective for prevention of infections caused by various non-human animal pathogens including PRRSV as well as IBV.

Abstract
Disclosed is a vaccine for non-human animals, which can effectively induce immunity in a non-human animal such as a farm animal and a poultry. The vaccine for non-human animals according to the present invention contains a liposome having, coupled to the surface thereof, an antigen molecule derived from a pathogen capable of affecting a non-human animal. The non-human animal is, for example, a farm animal or a poultry. An infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) vaccine, which is one of the most preferred embodiments of the vaccine of the present invention, is effective against various isolated IBV strains, and is expected to be sufficiently available in the case where a mutant strain occurs. A PRRSV vaccine, which is another preferred embodiment of the vaccine of the present invention, is confirmed to have an effect to alleviate fever due to an infection or reduce the formation of a lesion in the lung and the like. According to the present invention, it becomes possible to develop a liposome vaccine effective for the prevention of infections with pathogens for various non-human animals, such as IBV and PRRSV.

Abstract
The present invention discloses a novel means capable of producing a blood chimeric animal in which a state of retaining blood cells originating in a heterologous animal at a high percentage is sustained for a long period of time. The method for producing a non-human animal that retains blood cells originating in a heterologous animal, according to the present invention, comprises transplanting hematopoietic cells of a heterologous animal into a non-human animal, in which hematopoietic cells the function of a gene that acts on the hematopoietic system is modified, The gene that acts on the hematopoietic system is, for example, Lnk gene, When a medium to large mammal is used as a recipient, the survival rate of hematopoietic cells originating in a heterologous animal is dramatically increased such that blood chimerism of 10% or more can be maintained even in a 16 month old animal.

Abstract
Disclosed is a novel means for making it possible to steadily mass-producing a knock-out individual even of a large animal. A method according to the present invention is a method for producing a non-human large mammal or fish (a non-human animal) each capable of producing a gamete originated from a different individual. The method comprises: transplanting at least one pluripotent cell originated from a second non-human animal into a cleavage stage embryo that is originated from a first non-human animal and has genome in which the function of nanos3 gene is inhibited, thereby preparing a chimeric embryo; and developing the chimeric embryo, thereby producing an individual. When a pluripotent cell having genome in which a desired gene is knocked out is used as the pluripotent cell originated from the second non-human animal, it becomes possible to allow the first non-human animal to produce a germ cell in which the desired gene is knocked out. By crossing non-human animals which are produced in the above-mentioned manner with each other, a knock-out non-human animal can be mass-produced easily.
