Abstract

A poultry and livestock feeding and monitoring system is provided. The system mainly includes a feeding management unit, a mobile monitoring unit, and a remote monitoring unit. A plurality of control parameters and schedules are set up by the mobile monitoring unit or the remote monitoring unit for driving the feeding management unit to work. Thus various operations including water quality monitoring, drinking water supply, drinking water recovery, and measurement of weight of poultry and livestock, etc. are carried out according to the schedules being set. Therefore, the amount of water consumed by the poultry and livestock and weight of the poultry and livestock can be understood accurately. A warning is issued when the poultry and livestock drink insufficient amount of water. Thereby healthy growth of the poultry and livestock is ensured.

Abstract

An infrared reflow device includes an infrared heater and a heat conductor. Infrared radiation sources on the infrared heater are provided to emit a first infrared radiation of a first wavelength toward a semiconductor device. The heat conductor is placed between the infrared heater and the semiconductor device to absorb the first infrared radiation and radiate a second infrared radiation of a second wavelength toward the semiconductor device to reflow the semiconductor device. The second infrared radiation can be absorbed in a substrate of the semiconductor more efficiently than the first infrared radiation.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a porcine bivalent subunit vaccine composition in a single dose. The porcine bivalent subunit vaccine composition includes porcine bivalent antigen, CpG adjuvant and a dual phase adjuvant. The porcine bivalent antigen consists of a classical swine fever virus (CSFV)-E2 recombinant protein and a porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2)-ORF2 recombinant protein, both of which are produced by a mammalian cell expression system. The porcine bivalent subunit vaccine composition in a single dose can confer effectively immune protection against CSFV and PCV2 via a single vaccination without boost vaccination.

The present disclosure relates to a mammalian cell line and a method for producing soluble E2 recombinant antigen of classical swine fever virus using the same. Abstract

A feed-supplying system includes a feeder and a scale. The feeder includes a bin, a valve module and a monitoring module. The monitoring module controls the valve module to open an outlet of the bin to allow the feeder to supply feed, measures a vertical inside-bin distance, and outputs a notification when it is determined that an amount of stored feed is less than a threshold based on the distance. The scale supports the supplied feed, senses weight of a load thereon. When it is determined that an amount of the supplied feed has reached a threshold based on the weight, the monitoring module controls the valve module to close the outlet so as to stop the supply of the feed.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a recombinant antigen and an isolated polynucleotide of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), a composition including the same and a method of making the same. The recombinant antigen is a chimeric protein of PRRSV dual structural proteins and T-cell epitope. The polynucleotide encodes an amino acid sequence of the recombinant antigen. The recombinant protein expressed by the polynucleotide in an eukaryotic expression system can be beneficial for mass production and purification. An immunogenic composition including the recombinant antigen can promote pro-inflammatory M1-phenotype polarization of porcine alveolar macrophages (PAMs), reduce receptor CD163 expression that is mediated for viral entry and activate T helper (Th1) immune responses, thereby being applied to a vaccine composition against PRRSV.

The present invention discloses methods of treating imbalance of plasma lipids level, fatty liver, nephritis or vascular fibrosis with M2C macrophages. The M2C macrophages used in said methods is prepared by isolating mononuclear cells from bone marrow or peripheral blood, then inducing the mononuclear cells to differentiate into M2 macrophages by macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF), and then inducing the M2 macrophages to polarize into MERTK-expressing M2C macrophages by baicalin. The treatment of imbalance of plasma lipids level comprises increasing proportion of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in plasma lipids. The invention also provides methods of treating fatty liver and nephritis in a subject in need, comprising the step of administering a therapeutically effective amount of MERTK-expressing M2C macrophages.

The present invention relates to an in vitro immune synapse system and a method of in vitro evaluating immune response using the same. The in vitro immune synapse system includes antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and at least one cell type of several specific T cell subtypes isolated from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), all of which is from a same individual of pigs. Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain PMB05 used in the field of plant disease control. The present invention is directed to a recombinant fusion antigen gene, a recombinant fusion antigen protein and a subunit vaccine composition having the same against infection of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV). Abstract

Abstract

An intelligent construction cone includes a light pervious body rotatable relative to a body. A rotating device is mounted to the light pervious body and driven by a driving device to rotate the light pervious body. A distance detector sends a distance signal to a controller coupled to the driving device. The distance detector is jointly rotatable with the light pervious body to eliminate detection dead angle. A warning device is coupled to the controller and generates a warning message responsive to the distance signal. A lighting device is coupled to the controller and provides illumination. A light sensor and a humidity sensor are coupled to the controller and detect environmental brightness and environmental humidity, respectively. The warning message and intensity of the illumination are adjusted according to a distance between an object and the distance detector, the environmental brightness, and the environmental humidity.

Abstract

A pectic enzyme treated pectin (PET-pectin) and a method of producing the same are disclosed. Citrus pectin solution is subjected to an enzymatic hydrolysis by using a mixed pectinase solution under an acidic condition, so as to obtain PET-pectin that is completely hydrolyzed. The PET-pectin has several biological functions, including stability of emulsification, anti-oxidation and inhibition of cancer cell growth, thereby being applied on food emulsion stabilizers, food antioxidants and compositions for inhibiting cancer cell growth and so on.

A plant imitating device includes a body having a compartment and an opening in communication with the compartment. A driving unit is mounted in the compartment and includes a transmission member. Abstract

A pressure bandage includes a banding portion having opposite first and second sides. A chamber is formed in the first side of the banding portion. The second side of the banding portion includes a hole in communication with the chamber. A bladder is received in the chamber and receives a fluid. The bladder includes an infiltratable surface permeable to the fluid. The infiltratable surface of the bladder and the first side of the banding portion face the same direction. The fluid received in the bladder is permeable out of the bladder via the infiltratable surface. A control member is engaged with the hole of the banding portion and imparts a pressure to the bladder. The hole can be a screw hole, and the control member includes a knob threadedly engaged with the screw hole such that the knob is rotatable to adjust the pressure imparted to the bladder.
