Abstract

An interactive object control system including processing circuitry comprising one or more processors and memory storing instructions, that when executed by the processing circuitry, cause the processing circuitry to send instructions to activate one or more emitters of an interactive object to emit light and determine an initial position of the interactive object based on hyperspectral data from a hyperspectral imaging system, wherein the hyperspectral data is indicative of detection of the light emitted by the one or more emitters of the interactive object. The memory also includes instructions, that when executed by the processing circuitry, cause the processing circuitry to send instructions to track motion of the interactive object based on additional hyperspectral data from the hyperspectral imaging system, wherein the additional hyperspectral data is indicative of detection of reflected light reflected by one or more detectable markers of the interactive object, and provide output instructions to generate a special effect output based on the motion of the interactive object.

Abstract

A tracking system for key points of an object includes a controller configured to iteratively perform a keypoint tracking process at a first frame rate. The keypoint tracking process includes receiving a ground-truth signal indicative of poses of the keypoints at a current ground-truth frame. The keypoint tracking process also includes determining the poses of the keypoints at the current ground-truth frame. In addition, the key point tracking process includes receiving a set of images of the object from an optical sensor at a second frame rate. Furthermore, the keypoint tracking process includes associating points within a first image of the set of images with the keypoints at a previous ground-truth frame via a calibration process. The keypoint tracking process also includes determining the poses of the keypoints of the object at each frame of one or more intermediate frames based on the set of images via an optical flow process.

Abstract

A tracking system for keypoints of an object includes a controller configured to iteratively perform a keypoint tracking process at a first frame rate. The keypoint tracking process includes receiving a ground-truth signal indicative of poses of the keypoints at a current ground-truth frame. The keypoint tracking process also includes determining the poses of the keypoints at the current ground-truth frame. In addition, the keypoint tracking process includes receiving a set of images of the object from an optical sensor at a second frame rate.

Abstract

A data stream, such as a video stream, may comprise one or more event trigger messages indicating an upcoming event in the stream. The time (e.g., pre-roll time) between the event trigger message and its corresponding event may be modified, based on rules, to provide a network operator, service provider or downstream recipient more (or less) time to prepare for the event. This may be accomplished by moving the event trigger to an earlier (or later) location in the stream, and/or editing the event trigger to indicate the different pre-roll time.

Abstract

One or more tangible, non-transitory, computer-readable media stores instructions thereon that, when executed by a processing system, are configured to cause the processing system to perform various functions. The functions include receiving crosswalk data including a plurality of device identifiers and a respective plurality of household or people identifiers corresponding to the plurality of device identifiers, the crosswalk data corresponding to a sample of a population. The functions also include receiving a consumer view file including an additional plurality of household or people identifiers corresponding to the population and demographic attributes corresponding to the additional plurality of household or people identifiers. The functions also include determining a plurality of weights corresponding to the respective plurality of household or people identifiers in the crosswalk data based at least in part on the demographic attributes. The functions also include receiving viewership data and determining at least one KPI of an ad campaign based on the respective plurality of household or people identifiers, the plurality of weights, and the viewership data.

Abstract

A dynamic projection mapping system includes a projector configured to project visible light, and one or more radiofrequency (RF) readers configured to detect multiple RF tags of a prop. The dynamic projection mapping system also includes a processing system having one or more processors. The dynamic projection mapping system further includes memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processing system, causes the processing system to determine a position of the prop in an environment based on signals received from the one or more RF readers based on detection of the multiple RF tags, and instruct the projector to provide the visible light onto the prop based on the position of the prop.

Abstract

An improved system and an improved method are provided for organizing and managing a dataset using an ordinal system based on an optimized indexing tree, such as a Stern-Brocot tree. The ordinal system employs unique fractional numbers in the Stern-Brocot tree as indices, which are assigned to data entries of the dataset to locate and access these data entries quickly. Thus, the present disclosure provides an improved data management strategy with improved space complexity, improved comparison operation performance, simplified implementation, and reduced storage growth size/rate, compared to its predecessors.

Abstract

Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods, apparatus, and systems for mitigating signal attenuation at a body-worn device transmitting a radio signal. An antenna structure for the body-worn device includes an antenna array configured to radiate at least one radio signal and a conductive band capacitively coupled to the antenna array. The conductive band is configured to detachably couple to a body of a user, and mitigate attenuation of the at least one radio signal when the conductive band is coupled to the body. The conductive band mitigates the attenuation by facilitating a radio frequency (RF) signal current corresponding to the at least one radio signal to flow through the conductive band and preventing absorption of the RF signal current by the body.

Abstract

A control system for establishing a forced perspective illusion includes a controller configured to control movement of a first portion of an object to cause the first portion of the object to move at a first speed with respect to an observer. The first portion of the object is positioned a first distance from the observer to establish a first visual angle. The controller is also configured to control movement of a second portion of the object to cause the second portion of the object to move at a second speed with respect to the observer. The second portion of the object is positioned a second distance from the observer, greater than the first distance, to establish a second visual angle, and the second speed is equal to the first speed multiplied by a ratio of the second visual angle to the first visual angle.

Abstract

Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for object modeling. In one implementation, input imagery of a real-world object is obtained at an object modeling system. The input imagery is captured using an imaging system from a designated viewing angle. A 3D model of the real-world object is generated based on the input imagery using the object modeling system. The 3D model is generated based on a plurality of stages corresponding to a sequence of polygons stacked in a direction corresponding to the designated viewing angle. The 3D model is output for presentation using a presentation system.
