Abstract
The invention relates to a reflective cell (1) comprising at least two substrates (2a, 2b) each covered with an electrode (3a, 3b) and arranged opposite one another, the substrates defining therebetween a space (4), which separates same and is filled with a bistable liquid crystal material (8) with threshold field, for example a cholesteric liquid crystal, the two electrodes being intended for being connected to a voltage source (5). Said cell is characterised in that at least one of the electrodes (3b) is formed by the association of a pattern (6) that does not cover the entire surface of the substrates (2b) under consideration with a conductive layer (7) that covers the surface of the substrate under consideration, the material of the layer being less conductive than the material of the pattern.

THERMAL CAMOUFLAGE DEVICE AND VEHICLE WITH SUCH A DEVICE.
The invention concerns an infrared (1) camouflage device and a vehicle with such a device which comprises a parallel pipe network (4, 6) and transports heat transfer fluid (20), the purpose of which is to modify the heat signature of the vehicle. The device (1) is characterized by its composition of an intake manifold (3), intermediate manifold (5), a first series of pipes (4) fitting the intake manifold (3) and the intermediate manifold (5), a the second series (6) of second pipes (6a) connecting the intermediate manifold (5), and an exit manifold (7), each first pipe (4) being situated around a second pipe (6) in a way that forms at the level of the device (1) an alternating first (4) and second (6) parallel pipe, the intake manifold (3) and the exit manifold (5) being next to each other.
An adaptive masking method for an element in a field of operations. According to this method, at least one cover allowing to cover the element is implemented, the cover carrying at least one image generator network connected to an image synthesizer coupled to a camera. According to this method, the camera is positioned so as to cover both a portion of a background of the element and the entire cover, the image synthesizer controlling the at least one image generator network so as to minimize the contrast and optionally the frequency deviation between the background and the cover.
