The present invention addresses the problem of providing a paper base material for a fibrous casing base material. The paper base material does not require preliminary impregnation with a viscose liquid, and has sufficient alkali resistance and wet strength when undergoing viscose application. As a solution to the problem, provided is a paper base material for a fibrous casing base material, the paper base material comprising natural fibers and a paper-strengthening agent. Both a cationic paper-strengthening agent and an anionic paper-strengthening agent are added as the paper-strengthening agent by internal sizing and surface sizing.
A water-dispersible sheet with improved water dispersibility is provided. The present invention addresses the problem of providing a coffee filter paper for mechanical extraction with which it is possible to extract a coffee beverage that has an authentic flavor and reduced undesirable tastes. A fiber laminate sheet (10) comprising at least two layers including an upper layer base paper (1) and an underlay fiber layer (4). The upper layer base paper (1) is a synthetic fiber paper containing polyester staple fibers and polyester binder staple fibers, produced by a wet process. The constituent fibers of the base paper, although glued together by the binder staple fibers, are partially disintegrated by water stream intercrossing. The underlay fiber layer (4) is a fiber sheet of at least one member selected from among a nonwoven fabric, a nonwoven fabric web and a woven knitted fabric. The upper layer base paper (1) and underlay fiber layer (4) are laminated together so that the constituent fibers of the two layers cross each other to thereby attain an integration thereof. Accordingly, when impregnation with an elastic polymer is not effected, there can be obtained a novel fiber laminate sheet of soft texture exhibiting air permeability. On the other hand, when the impregnation is effected, there can be obtained an artificial leather of texture highly close to that of natural leather.
