Abstract
The invention is a method and system for screening materials with a tube-shaped screen. The tube that has at least one section with a plurality of screen openings, which are placed in the wall of the tube, and that form a screen frame which defines at least the length and the cross section of the tube, and a screen mesh, that is tensioned on the screen frame, to form at least a part of the wall of the tube-shaped screen. The system further includes at least one ultrasonic converter and at least one feed-line sound conductor placed between the ultrasonic converter and the tube, with the tube being configured, to be subjected to ultrasonic excitation so that the amplitude of the ultrasonic excitation transferred to the tube has a component in a direction perpendicular to, and a component in a direction parallel to, the central axis of the screen.

Abstract
The invention is a method and apparatus for ultrasound excitation of structures of any geometry. The invention comprises production of a connection between a generator, an ultrasound converter, and at least one mechanical system to be excited, passing through a frequency range for determining an operating point, wherein at each approached frequency the power consumption of the system to be excited determines a current, and/or a voltage emitted by the generator, which is measured using a sensor such that a measurement value of the sensor renders the power output to the system to be excited, and performing an ultrasound excitation at the determined operating point or its immediate surroundings. The device further comprises a memory for storing target values for the power supplied to the total system input, and of parameter values for voltage, current, and frequency, in which the desired target values or ranges are achieved.

Abstract

The invention also relates to a method for operating a screen system (1, 2, 3) with a tube-shaped screen (10, 30) of said kind, wherein the tube (11) or the screen frame (31) is excited to oscillate by means of ultrasound, wherein the tube (11) or the screen frame (31) is excited by means of ultrasonic excitation, wherein the amplitude thereof comprises a component in the perpendicular direction to a center axis (A-A) of the tube-shaped screen (10, 30) and a component in the parallel direction to the center axis (A-A) of the tube-shaped screen (10, 30).

Method for ultrasound excitation of structures of any geometry, comprising the steps of producing a connection between a generator, an ultrasound converter, and at least one mechanical system to be excited, passing through a frequency range for determining an operating point, wherein at each approached frequency the power consumption of the system to be excited determines a current, and/or a voltage emitted by the generator, which is measured using a sensor such that a measurement value of the sensor renders the power output to the system to be excited, and performing an ultrasound excitation at the determined operating point, or around an environment around the operating point, wherein the operating point, once determined, or the environment around the operating point, once selected, is not modified anymore, and device for the ultrasound excitation of structures of any geometry by means of this method using a generator, an ultrasound converter, and at least one mechanical structure, wherein the generator has control means for the voltage, current, and frequency, by means of which these magnitudes can be varied across a certain range, and at least one sensor for determining a voltage reflecting the power supplied to the total system, and/or a current reflecting the power supplied to the total system at a given frequency, and a memory for storing target values for the power supplied to the total system input by a user on one hand, and of parameter values for voltage, current, and frequency on the other hand, in which the desired target values are achieved, or are achieved as closely as possible.
