Abstract

A cordless wireless and mobile display system having an integrated system for delivering uninterrupted power to a display is described. The cordless wireless and mobile display includes wireless capabilities that allows it to receive and transmit information from associated medical devices and to send data to other designated devices. A battery assembly includes a primary and secondary battery that supplies uninterrupted power to a display. Sensors periodically sample the power output from the battery in current use to ensure that enough power is available to the display. When sensors detect power output levels have fallen below a preset value, indicators alert users that the system is switching to a backup power supply and that the primary battery supply needs recharging.

Abstract

Systems and methods for transforming and displaying a video signal on a display are provided with any number of features. In some embodiments, system is configured to receive a first set of input signals in a controller. The system can determine in the controller a first set of luminances and colors that would be produced on a first display with the first set of input signals. Abstract

A method and apparatus of predicting link quality of a link are disclosed. One exemplary method includes a receiver receiving multi-carrier modulated signals over a period of time. A signal to noise ratio (SNR) for each received sub-carrier is estimated. An ordered sequence of the signal to noise ratios (SNR)s are constructed based on interleaving of the multi-carrier modulated signals, wherein an order of the interleaving is used to set the ordered sequence of the signal to noise ratios (SNR)s. The receiver estimates link packet error rate (PER) based upon knowledge of encoding of the multi-carrier modulated signals used during transmission and the ordered sequence.

Abstract

Methods of reducing spectral leakage due to I-Q imbalance within a transmitter are disclosed. The method includes the transmitter receiving a data stream of coefficients of a multi-carrier modulation signal. The data stream is pre-processed by processing a set of the coefficients that correspond with selected notch frequencies to reduce the effects of I-Q imbalance of the transmitter, wherein at least a portion of the set of coefficients corresponds to non-symmetrical notch frequencies. The pre-processed data stream is multi-carrier modulated. The multi-carrier modulated pre-processed data stream is I-Q modulated before transmission.

Abstract

A method of transmitting packets over a network includes steps of partitioning a transmission interval into discrete time slots and reaching agreement between a transmitting node and receiving node as to when the transmitting node will transmit packets. The intended receiving node sends a reception map to the transmitter indicating time slots that have not yet been allocated. The transmitter proposes a delivery schedule including time slots that it will use for transmission. After agreement by the receiving node, the transmitter transmits packets according to the agreed-upon schedule. Other transmitters can similar arrange to transmit during time slots not already allocated for the receiving node.
