Disclosed are a clamp (1) and an electrical connector (200) having the clamp (1) for electrically connecting the shielding (103) of a cable (100) to a shield (201) of the connector (200). The clamp (1) comprises a band (2) to be formed as a ring and configured for plastic deformation to reduce the inner diameter of the ring. Further, the clamp (1) has at least one elastic tongue (8) which protrudes outwards in radial direction from the ring. The plastic deformation reducing the inner diameter of the ring may be accomplished by a dedicated tightening device (4). The clamp (1) can be easily placed over the shielding (103) of a cable (100) and can then be tightened to make it sit firmly on the shielding (103) and crimp the shielding (103) with good electric contact therewith. The tongue (8) allows for the clamp (1) to make good electric contact with the inner surface of a shield (201) such as an electrically conductive body part or housing of the connector (200). The clamp (1) thus provides for fixation to the shielding (103) and for electric contact between the shielding (103) and the shield (201) of the connector (200) in one product. A connector has an outer surface for engagement by a hose, an inner through-bore for receiving a pipe nipple to be connected to the hose, and a sealing 0-ring for sealing the hose to the pipe nipple. Up to the final assembly of the connector, a plug is placed in the through-bore to hold the parts of the connector together and protect its interior against the entry of dirt. The plug has a shaft to be inserted into the through-bore and an end disc for closing an end of the through-bore. A plurality of connectors may be linked together to form a belt-type arrangement for handling in an automatic assembly line.

For producing a welded ring, a band of a length corresponding to the circumference of the ring is bent into a ring and its two ends are welded together. The band ends to be welded together have an offset in the circumferential direction of the ring, the offset lying in the plane of the band. The welding is performed from both lateral edges of the ring, from the outside to the inside up to the offset. Welding having an overall improved welding quality and a higher tensile strength is thus obtained.

The invention relates to a multi-crimp ring, the two circumferential edges (10) of which are flanged, which makes it possible to use thinner band thicknesses without the risk of buckling due to its greater intrinsic strength. The flanging consists in a widening of the diameter of the ring edges, wherein the regions (14) of the ring edges are bent outwards in a rounded manner and the edge surfaces (11) run at an angle of preferably 45° to the ring axis.

The circumferential edges (10) end in limbs (16) which point radially outwards and enclose an angle of approx. 70° to 90° with an unflanged centre portion (13) of the ring that is located axially further inwards. The flanging consists in an extension of the diameter of the collar edges, wherein the collar edge regions (14) are bent outwards in a rounded manner and the edge surfaces (11) run at an angle of preferably approx. 0° to approx. 20° with respect to the collar axis (12).

The flow path switching valve described here has a valve chamber (13) with three openings (21, 22, 23) and a valve piston (14) disposed in the valve chamber. The valve piston (14) has an elastic diaphragm (15) which cooperates sealingly at the circumference thereof with an inner circumferential wall (16) of the valve chamber (13).
