Abstract

[Problem] The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a dispersion liquid of a composite of a conductive polymer and a dopant, said dispersion liquid having high dispersion stability and being capable of forming a film having high conductivity without adding a high-boiling-point organic solvent into the dispersion; a polymer dopant which forms the dispersion liquid; and a conductive film which is produced from the dispersion liquid and has excellent conduction performance and excellent film properties. [Solution] The present invention is a polyvinyl sulfonic acid which contains a specific vinyl sulfonic acid unit represented by general formula (1) and wherein the molar quantity of sulfonic acid groups derived from vinyl sulfonic acid monomers is 50.0-98.0 mol% relative to the molar quantity of all monomer units. The polyvinyl sulfonic acid has an absorbance of 0.1 or more (0.2% by mass aqueous solution, cell length is 10 mm) within the wavelength range of 255-800 nm.

Abstract

A process for producing vinylsulfonic acid which comprises the step of demetallizing a vinylsulfonic acid salt, wherein the degree of demetallization represented by the equation: degree of demetallization (%) = {(acid value after demetallization)/(acid value before demetallization)} × 100 is 95% or higher. Also provided is a process for producing vinylsulfonic acid which comprises the step of demetallizing a vinylsulfonic acid salt, wherein the demetallization is a treatment with a strongly acidic ion-exchange resin.
