Abstract
Inventors have used three cohorts of horses: a cohort consisting of healthy horses (n=20), a cohort consisting of horses hospitalized for colic without signs of sepsis until discharge (n=17) and horses hospitalized for colic with signs of sepsis (n=20). They performed western blot analysis and confirmed the presence of O-GlcNAc in the blood of the horses and showed that, that the O-GlcNAc levels in septic horses tended to decrease between admission and the first day (D1) after admission. This decrease became significant from the second day (D2) of hospitalization. Accordingly, the invention relates to a method for diagnosing whether a horse is at risk of or is susceptible to have a risk of sepsis comprising following steps: i) quantifying the expression level of O-GlcNAcylation in a biological sample obtained from the horse; ii) comparing the expression level quantified at step i) with its predetermined reference value; and iii) concluding that the horse is at risk of or is susceptible to have a risk of sepsis when the expression level of O-GlcNAcylation quantified at step i) is lower than its predetermined reference value.

Abstract
A bone cement paste containing a powder component comprising α-tricalcium phosphate (α-TCP) particles having an average size greater than or equal to 9 μm, and a liquid component comprising blood is disclosed. A method for preparation of the phosphocalcic cement composition is also disclosed.
A device for the relative positioning of the lower and upper jaws of a subject that includes splints intended to be disposed on the dental arches of the lower and upper jaws of the subject and linked by link members disposed in an occlusal position, between the splints, each link member includes posterior and anterior end parts made secure and articulated on a respective occlusal face of the upper and lower splints, so as to stress said lower splint in a forward direction. Each link member is composed of a rigid link rod of fixed length whose posterior end part is on the upper splint and in that the position of the posterior end part of each rigid link rod is longitudinally adjustable in the occlusal plane so as to adjust the position of the lower splint.
The invention relates to a device (1) for the relative positioning of the lower and upper jaws of a subject, comprising trays (10, 11) intended to be placed over the dental arches of the lower and upper jaws of the subject and connected by connecting members (20) sited in an occlusal position, between the trays, each connecting member comprising posterior (21) and anterior (22) end parts secured and articulated to a respective occlusal face (100, 110) of the upper and lower trays, so as to force the said lower tray in a forward direction, characterized in that each connecting member consists of a rigid link rod of fixed length of which the posterior end part is on the upper tray and in that the position of the posterior end part of each rigid link rod is longitudinally adjustable in the occlusal plane so as to adjust the position of the lower tray.

INTRAORAL DEVICE WITH PAIR OF ARTICULATED DENTAL ALIGNERS
The invention relates to an intraoral device (1) with a pair of dental aligners (10), each aligner comprising an outer shell (100) of rigid plastic in the shape of a rounded V whose branches join at the front part (10a) of the outer shell. This front part has a truncated part in the form of an elongate notch (104), by which it is possible to confer flexibility on the outer shell in a plane orthogonal to the median sagittal plane of the aligners by bringing together or spacing apart the branches of the V, the outer shell being provided with an impression (106) formed in the front part on the outer face of the outer shell and extending on either side of the elongate notch, in order to cooperate with an attached wedge (50) serving as a mechanical abutment for blocking the flexion of the outer shell at a given curvature when the attached wedge (50) is fixed in the impression (106).
