A method of manufacturing the emptying device assembly is also disclosed.

The invention regards an emptying system for an ostomy implant, the emptying system comprising: an emptying device comprising an ostomy pouch, the ostomy pouch having a first opening and an interior volume arranged to receive stomal waste through the first opening; and an adapter for connecting the emptying device to the ostomy implant, the adapter comprising a first part, a second part, and at least one first engaging unit, arranged around a through-hole of the adapter; wherein the emptying system is arranged such that, in use, rotation of the first part with respect to the second part attaches the emptying system to the implant.
