As compared with existing shearing type elements, the overload triggering is more stable, and failures will not easily occur. Since a pull-to-break action for overload protection occurs inside the buffer device, the space needed for the hook buffer device to return backwards is greatly reduced, difficulty in design of the underframe of the vehicle is thus reduced, and the strength of the underframe of the vehicle body is thus increased.
