The invention comprises: a sheath (16) suitable for receiving a stay, said sheath extending from an area close to a tip of the collar to the top edge (13) of the collar; and a decorative accessory including a decorative or representative object supported by a bar that is inserted into the sheath, such that the decorative object is visible on the surface of the turn-down collar. The collar (11) includes a slot (14) close to the top edge (13) thereof and the decorative object (21) is attached to the bar (22), near the upper end thereof, such that the decorative object remains visible on the collar when the bar is inserted into the sheath through the slot.
