It is thus clear that by adopting the present solution, the transient diode has fast response speed under impact of thunder and lightning currents; while discharging parts of the thunder and lightning currents, the currents are collected, and by means of the boosted circuit and the rectifying circuit triggering the varistor in series connection with a gas discharge tube branch, most of the thunder and lightning currents are discharged. In addition, the present solution does not require an inductor, and the circuit is small in size; without an inductor consuming energy, and power consumption of the whole surge protection circuit is reduced. Besides, the transient diode in the present solution has the function of clamp voltage, and a limiting voltage of a surge protective device can be reduced.
