In the method, the replacing signal is stored in the memory of the safety unit (5) and in a faulty situation the safety unit interrupts sending the signal to be replaced and feeds instead the replacing signal. As an application of the invention the mentioned replacing of the signal is connected to the opening of the parachute (8) and then the opening of the parachute of the flying apparatus causes automatically a considerable decreasing of the motors (6) rotation speed. The replacing signal can also be directed past the safety unit to its target.
