A method for production of at least one tannic product and a bark product having enhanced fuel value is disclosed. A METHOD FOR PROVIDING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL COMPRISING A THERMOPLASTIC MATRIX AND CELLULOSE FIBERS
The present invention relates to a method for providing composite materials comprising a thermoplastic matrix and cellulose fibers. The method comprises extruding one or more cellulose fiber-based webs in a mixture with a melted thermoplastic matrix material by means of a twin screw thereby forming an extrudate composite material, which may be further transformed into a cellulose fiber-reinforced composite article in which the cellulose fibers are evenly distributed within the thermoplastic matrix. The method provides improved possibilities for large scale manufacturing, by improved feeding of the cellulose part. The cellulose fiber-reinforced composite articles have excellent mechanical properties, the best results being obtained when the cellulose fiber content is between 20 and 30 wt % based on the composite article.

The present invention relates to a process for producing an oxidised cellulose pulp fibrillar network and a composite with lignocellulosic fibres comprising the following steps: (a)oxidising a cellulose pulp to obtain about0.3 to 2.5 mmol carboxylic groups per gram cellulose pulp; and about 0.1 to 5.0 mmol aldehyde groups per gram cellulose pulp; (b)homogenisation of the cellulose pulp of step (a)wherein the cellulose fibres are refined to provide a cellulose pulp comprising 0-50 % of fibres having an average length 0.7 mm –2.1 mm;and 50-100 % of fibres having a particle size of 0.05 -500 micrometer (µm); and optionally (c) combining with lignocellulosic fibre. Also step (d) drying of the cellulose pulp obtained by step (b)or step (c) may be included in the process.
The present invention relates to a process for forming a pulp mixture, the process comprising the steps of: a) providing a wood material and a first liquor, b) treating the wood material in the first liquor in order to release wood fibres, c1 ) introducing an agricultural crop/ residue before or during the treatment of the wood material, and during the treatment deriving a first fraction comprising hemicellulose from the agricultural crop/ residue, and/or c2) introducing a suspension of a first fraction comprising hemicellulose and a residue liquor derived from agricultural crop/ residue by a liquor treatment, the introduction being done before, during or after the treatment of the wood material. The invention further relates to a pulp mixture comprising 1-30% originating from agricultural crop/ residue and 70-99% originating from wood material. The pulp mixture comprises non-wood hemicellulose and at least part of the non-wood hemicellulose is sorbed on the wood fibres.
