This invention relates to a cover system for missile canisters that, in addition to functioning as a missile launch system, enables the transportation and storage of the missile in a protected manner from the external environment. This cover system consists of two cover parts: the frangible cover part (3) and the deployable cover part (2), which are mounted on the end of the canister (1). The frangible cover part (3) is easily broken by the sudden pressure increase that occurs in the canister (1) as a result of the missile firing, and thus ensures that the missile moves out of the canister (1) without any damage. The deployable cover part (2) has support interfaces (11) that increase the resistance of the frangible cover part (3), which is subjected to creep under the influence of pressure load under storage conditions in the canister (1), against the creep effect and plastic deformation. There is a cover locking mechanism on the deployable cover part (2) that ensures that the cover (2) is kept in the closed position to ensure the sealing of the canister under storage conditions. The deployable cover part (2) also has a drive mechanism that enables the cover (2) to be opened during the launch of the missile and a cover positioning mechanism that ensures that the cover (2) is kept in the open position.
The purpose of this study is to detect toxic substances mixed with drinking water, underground spring water and potable liquids due to industrial or other reasons, as well as to monitor the drinking water in meetings with a device placed under meeting tables as a precaution against terrorist attacks that may threaten the health of high level government officials, to instantly detect the toxic substances that can be mixed into the drinking water of high level administrators in critical institutions/buildings, at lethal or lower doses, to send the liquids to further detailed tests and to prevent them from being drunk in case of a difference in them. For this purpose, the system, based on a microwaves ring resonator loaded by a vessel with liquid, is proposed. The ring resonator operating in the range from 1GHz to 5GHz was designed, and the spectral behavior of liquids in 3 (three) different resonance frequencies was investigated. It was observed that the all considered liquids, investigated with the proposed system, possess specific spectral characteristics which allow their separation. The detection is grounded in the comparison whether the spectral characteristics of unknown liquid diverge from the known spectral data for liquids registered in the collected reference data library. The considered toxic chemicals were prepared in the amounts specified in Table 1. The electronic components utilized in the system are commercial ready-made products with compact sizes that allowed us to produce a portable device. The device is capable of real-time operation. Data transfer and power supply are done with a laptop computer

METHOD OF MEASURING THE AMOUNT OF OXYGEN IN LIQUIDS AND GASES
After traditional electrochemical measurement techniques, a new technique for oxygen concentration determination has been developed with the invention of the Luminescent Dissolved Oxygen (LDO) probe. This method is based on the reduction in physical measurement time due to oxygen concentration as a result of radiation from a luminescent substance (luminophore). Both red and blue light are applied to the luminophore layer on the oxygen sensor. The measurement quality is increased by using concave spherical and/or ellipsoidal luminophore surfaces and by coating 10%-90% of the surface of a substrate (4) at the end of a sensor cap (3) on the dissolved oxygen probe with a non-fluorescent dye (8) and the remaining surface area with luminophore material (7).

Every year, approximately 94 million cases of Salmonella gastroenteritis, with 155000 deaths, are reported each year and 85% of them reported to be food-borne. Investigation of the foods whether they are clean for Salmonella and sensitivity, easy applicability, absence of false positivity and negativity and the speed are the features sought in the analysis method for this investigation. It is not desirable for analysis to detect the presence of dead bacteria in food. Although the final product does not contain microbiologically harmful live bacteria during the food process, the detection of dead bacteria transmitted before the process causes the food product to be unfairly diagnosed as harmful. To prevent this situation, the analysis kits depending on molecular methods, increase their microorganism detection levels up to to 104 while reducing their sensitivity. Since the molecular methods cannot discriminate dead and live organisms, a confirmation test is required to prove that the positive result of the analysis belongs to the live bacteria in the food, which results in additional cost and time loss. In the same way, it is necessary to verify whether the colonies that grow in the gold standard culture method, belong to Salmonella bacteria. In the developed system; 105 dead bacterial DNA is eliminated in the food to prevent false positive results and the minimum detection limit is 10 bacteria. Also, in developed system, 4 primers specific to 6 regions of DNA are used. Therefore, the specificity of the method is very high (99.9%) and no verification test is needed. Since PCR systems require a device with complex temperature control units, they can make analysis in a laboratory-dependent manner. In the proposed system, DNA is amplified at constant temperature; no temperature cycle is required, therefore no complex instrument and laboratory infrastructure are required. All the procedures can be easily performed outside the laboratory on a portable mini-heater where pre-enrichment, DNA isolation from the sample and PCR steps are performed. For molecular analyses, the device is required to display the result of imaging or analysis. In the developed method, DNAs amplified by the loop-mediated isothermal DNA amplification method, are hybridized and combined with the labeled probe and then can be read by lateral flow method with the naked eye. As the results are visible by eye, no additional device is required. The classical culture method is accepted as the gold standard, but the duration of analysis is 7 days for positive samples, 3 days with verification test, for the molecular methods, and 5.5 hours including pre-enrichment time in the developed system.

The electronic circuit has a LED (D1) whose current is limited by a resistor (R1) on the line (L1) carrying power from the recording device to the GPS antenna, a LED (D2) whose current is limited with a resistor (R2) on the line (L2) carrying SQ signal containing location information from the GPS antenna to the recording device and a LED (D3) whose current is limited by a resistor (R3) on the line (L3) carrying Pulse per Second (PPS) signal containing timing information from the GPS antenna to the recording device. When the system is activated, if all the LEDs (D1, D2 and D3) light up, it means that the GPS antenna functions properly. If the LED (D1) does not light up, it means that the GPS antenna does not operate due to the lack of power supply; and if the LED (D2) and/or the LED (D3) do not light up, it means that the GPS antenna cannot transmit the SQ signal and/or the PPS signal to the recording device, and thus the GPS antenna is detected as being defective.
SalmonellaSalmonellaSalmonella and sensitivity, easy applicability, absence of false positivity and negativity and the speed are the features sought in the analysis method for this investigation. It is not desirable for analysis to detect the presence of dead bacteria in food. Although the final product does not contain microbiologically harmful live bacteria during the food process, the detection of dead bacteria transmitted before the process causes the food product to be unfairly diagnosed as harmful. To prevent this situation, the analysis kits depending on molecular methods, increase their microorganism detection levels up to to 104SalmonellaSalmonella bacteria.

DEVELOPMENT OF BORON DERIVATIVE CHROMOTOGRAPHIC FILLING MATERIAL
In the context of the present invention, the new boron derived zeolitic adsorbent, which are named as DAZB and DSZB were obtained from the chemical reactions between various equivalents of boric acid and different zeolitic structures bearing free silanol/aluminum hydroxide groups formed after dealumination/desilication process of the corresponding zeolitic structures in different Si/AI ratio. The products with the content of the mixture of sucrose and the colorants named Sunset Yellow and Patent Blue V were processed to be separated to the issued components by using DAZB and DSZB filled solid phase extraction cartridges. The present invention has shown that separation processes, which are similar to the issued colorants and the sugar compounds, can be conducted in a highly inexpensive way by using newly developed DAZB and DSZB adsorbents. Thus, hereby presented DAZB and DSZB filling adsorbents are highly promising materials either in mass production sections or small scale R&D departments of the companies or research laboratories which are interested in food products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, environmental processes, and related themes.

DETECTION METHOD FOR HALAL FOOD AND HALAL FOOD ADDITIVES
The present invention is a molecular determination method which distinguishes between food additives produced by the processing of raw materials obtained from animals or humans, which may be controversial whether halal or not, and which distinguishes between food additives produced by fermentation using microorganisms. The sample will be identified as halal if it is detected to be produced by using microorganisms with fermentation. The analyses that are developed for the detection of microbial load in samples are not able to detect origin of microorganism in hydrolyzed and processed samples, and correct results cannot be obtained from the analysis. The present invention provides a solution for this problem. There are 1.7 billion Muslim people on the world. Because of religious requirements, Muslim population demands the food they consume to be acceptable with their belief. Halal status of animal originated food additives cannot be determined by analytical methods since how animal slaughtering process was performed cannot be ascertained. In the scope of present invention, an analytical method was developed for the detection of food additives that are produced by fermentation by the usage of microorganisms.

PURIFICATION OF BORIC ACID WITH ION EXCHANGE PROCESS
The present invention relates to the process of purification of boric acid by ion exchange method. Boric acid is dissolved in hot demineralized water. The hot solution is pressure-filtered. The hot saturated solution, which is purified from water-insoluble, is passed through a column containing strong cation exchange resin, followed by a column containing weak anion exchange resin at the same temperature and cooled afterwards. The crystals settling by cooling are separated from the mother liquor, the amount of aqueous solution within them is reduced and then dried. The waste solution formed during crystallization and filtrate formed after separation of crystals from aqueous solution are mixed and used in boric acid dissolving process. The developed method enables the reduction of sodium, sulfate, chloride and iron impurities of technical grade boric acid to less than 1 ppm and is more economic and environmental friendly than current methods.
The present invention relates to a process for boric acid purification. The boric acid is dissolved in demineralized water and the saturated solution obtained after pressure- filtering through a membrane filter is cooled. After the crystals formed by cooling are separated from the solution, they are washed and then transferred into demineralized water. The washed crystals are separated from the solution and dried. After sieving, high purity boric acid is obtained and the coarse crystal grains coming out of the sieve are fed back to the boric acid dissolving step. Waste solutions from separation of the crystals in the solution and the washing crystals steps are combined and heated. The combined hot waste solutions are passed through a strong cation exchange resin column and a weak anion exchange resin column, respectively. The impurity-removed hot solution is re-used in boric acid dissolving step, which is the first step of the process.

The invention is an array of reflectors produced by adjoining 8 units of trihedral corner reflectors with specific angles to attain bicentric, strong and consistent back reflections of radar waves to be utilized for providing an efficient deception regarding the radars of radar guided missiles and breaking the lock of these radar guided missiles. This array was opted for attaining a strong back reflection on the desired angle range. Each of the 8 corners provide strong back reflections over 60 degrees on horizontal angles and thus, a whole corner reflector can be detected by radar systems from any angle when the reflector is rotated 360 degrees. Periodical minimum radar cross section value is increased by this means, and thus the average is raised. The radar cross section value does not almost decrease for different radar frequencies for incident angles up to +/- 10 degrees on vertical angle, and no blind angle zones are created with respect to radar cross section -.

There are many common methods used for determination of fat/oil content in food products. Depending on the product type acid hydrolysis with soxhlet extraction, direct soxhlet (without acid hydrolysis) extraction or Gerber techniques are used in such kinds of the ordinary methods. Some of the methods rapidly identified total fat/oil content in food products with analytical instruments. These common methods cover determination of fat/oil content of meat and meat products, processed foodstuffs, dairy products and oily natural products. In the study, we underline that existing methods are not suitable or have some problems with some kinds of foodstuffs. Thus, new alternative methods are required to determine fat/oil content in such kinds of problematic food products (mayonnaise, royal jelly, food products containing high amount of emulsifiers and natural products). Improved method provides a novelty in sample preparation and extraction steps which are problematic with ordinary methods.

Ballistic marks are the striation and impression marks of a firearm imprinted on metallic surfaces of cartridge cases and bullets and their fragments when they are fired from the firearm. Firearm identification is the process of determination of bullets, cartridge cases and their fragments that are fired from the same firearm by examining similarity of ballistic marks. These marks are affected from metal hardness, amount of gun powder, etc. These reasons make automated firearm identification a difficult problem. It is proposed in the present invention that feature comparison based on shape index and polynomial coefficients to determine bullets, cartridge cases and their fragments that are fired from the same firearm. These features can be extracted from surface height map or surface normal vectors using estimation methods.

WIDE BAND CHOKE DESIGN FOR SUPPRESSING ELECTROMAGNETIC LEAKAGE IN MICROWAVE OVENS
A microwave oven that consist of a cooking chamber, a door for opening and closing the chamber, the E-type choke structure that filter the electromagnetic leakage is placed inside the door frame and a transparent glass surface covering this structure. The E-type choke on the door has two parallel cavities, a periodic prism array that seperate the cavities and periodic slots on the outer side walls of the cavities. The new E-type choke structure produce two resonance frequencies that one of them is greater and the other one is smaller than the center frequency of the microwave oven. Thus, electromagnetic leakage can be filtered over a wide frequency range.
The scope of this invention is the production process and bacterial composition to produce a microbiologically, physically, chemically and sensorially defined Boza, that can show the same characteristics at each production. In this invention an unfermented Boza pasteurization step has been added to classical Boza process and unfermented Boza has been inoculated with a recommended culture to produce standard Boza that has always the same taste. These cultures are natural, not genetically modification applied starter cultures, covering Lactobacillus plantarum GE 223 and Wiessella confusa GE213, isolated from Boza that has been produced in Turkey. These cultures enable a Boza production, that produces organic acids and acetoin giving to Boza its accustomed taste by generating acetic acid that do not exceed the ratio of 0.2% and ethyl alcohol less than the ratio of 2% during 60 days and provide Boza, nonperishable at least 3 months without thickening and forming bubbles in texture and phase separation when stored in refrigerator. The innovation that this invention brings is, development of a Boza production technique and starter culture combination that enables production of a Boza having standard microbiological, chemical and sensorial properties, all around the year independently from temperature and micro flora of the environment.

Introduced is an active shield method providing security to a security critical integrated circuit against some physical attacks like probing, manipulation and modification, while providing the ability to detect any physical modification made on the active shield itself. Electrically controllable switching circuits are used to construct the upper layer conductive bit lines with electrically selectable different interconnection configurations. These bit lines arranged in a shielding pattern are used to carry a test data between a transmitter circuitry and a number of receiver circuitries which verify the integrity of the shielding lines to provide the security for the integrated circuit. By changing the selected interconnection configuration of the bit lines with a select signal produced by the transmitter, the self detection ability of the proposed active shield is provided as a countermeasure against the vulnerability to physical modification made on the active shield itself.
The present invention describes an effective grain refining practice for aluminium foundry alloys. The method described herein relies on the control of the Titanium level of the alloy to be grain refined and the addition of boron once it is melted. Boron addition can be made via Al-B master alloys as well as with boron compounds such as KBF4 salt. The boron added into the melt dissolves first and then forms the AlB2 particles that act as potent substrates for the nucleation of aluminium once solidification process starts. The Ti concentration of the alloy must be controlled below 100 ppm for this method to offer effective grain refinement. The boron becomes ineffective when the Ti concentration in the alloy is higher.
Thermal fatigue is the predominant mechanism that limits the service life of dies in semi-solid forming of steels since the feedstock to be shaped has a paste-like character. A novel alloy, more resistant to these conditions than any other alloy, has been developed. Eutectic carbides in Stellite alloys are replaced in this novel alloy with molybdenum-rich intermetallic compound particles between dendrites. This novel alloy offers at least 3 times longer service life with respect to Stellite 6 alloy that has been tested under conditions that mimic the steel semi-solid forming process and has been identified as the most suitable. The exceptional performance of the novel alloy is attributed to its outstanding resistance to oxidation and to softening at elevated temperatures and to its cobalt based matrix free from the hard and brittle carbides that have a negative impact on crack growth process.
