The invention relates to a drive-through wood drying kiln as well as a conveyor. Accordingly, a drive-through drying arrangement comprises a drying tunnel (4), a conveyor (5a), with which a train consisting of a number "n" of successively track-guided conveying units (3a) loaded with wood (2a), through "drawing" can be transferred from an input port (8) to an output port (9). The detection takes place through reproduction of the extent of the timber during the drying process at least two different points in time in order to obtain at least a first and a second reproduction that demonstrate the extent of the timber in at least one direction, measurement of the extent of the timber on the first reproduction, measurement of the extent of the timber on the second reproduction, determination of the difference between the extent of the timber on the first reproduction and the extent of the timber on the second reproduction and thus the determination of a change in dimension, and the relation of the change in dimension to the expulsion of moisture from the timber, the drying process of the timber, when the change in dimension demonstrates a reduced extent, shrinkage, of the timber.
