This light-diffusible resin composition is capable of forming a light-diffusing layer that is excellent in light diffusibility and has suppressed unevenness of light diffusion performance, and contains light-diffusible microparticles, a matrix resin, and a solvent. The light-diffusible microparticles are organic microparticles containing a polymer of microparticle-synthesizing polymerizable monomers including a crosslinkable hydrocarbon monomer. The light-diffusible microparticles provide an immersion heat amount of 0.7-100 J/g when immersed in octane at 30°C, and provide an immersion heat amount of 1-100 J/g when immersed in formamide at 30°C. The matrix resin is constituted of at least one type of thermoplastic resin. The surface free energy of each type of thermoplastic resin is at least 20 mN/m and lower than 50 mN/m at 20°C. The solvent is constituted of at least one type of of organic solvent. The surface tension of each type of organic solvent is 20-40 mN/m at 20°C.
