An electrical machine with a brush commutator arrangement (1)is proposed. Brushes (3) and a commutator (5) are adapted and arranged such that, upon operating the electrical machine (1), the brush (3) and the commutator (5) are displaced relative to each other in a lateral displacement direction (7) and a contact surface (9) of the brush (3) mechanically contacts a contact surface (11) of the commutator (5) along an overlapping area (13) thereby generating an electrical contact. Accordingly,an electric current is transmitted between brush (3) and commutator (5) through the overlapping area (13). An orthogonal electrical conductivity of the brush (3) and/or the commutator (5) in a direction(25) orthogonal to a respective contact surface (9, 11) locally varies along the lateral displacement direction (7). An orthogonal electrical conductivity distribution in the brush (3) and/or the commutator (5) is adapted such that, even when operating the electrical machine at maximum allowable power, for at least 90% of all spatial configurations during displacing the brush (3) and the commutator (5) relative to each other, an electrical current density through the overlapping area (13) does not exceed 130% of a rated maximal average electrical current density through the brush commutator arrangement (1).Due to the specific variation of orthogonal electrical conductivity within the brush (3) or commutator(5), sparking and resulting wear in the proposed brush commutator arrangement (1) may be reduced.
The invention relates to a carbon brush arrangement for connection to an electric motor, comprising at least one carbon brush (17, 18) connected to a connection means (29) provided with a plastic connection housing (32) via a connection conductor (15, 16) provided with a plastic sheath (24, 25), said plastic sheath (24, 25) consisting of perfluoroalkoxy polymer (PFA) in at least a region of transition (33, 34) to the connection housing (32).
The invention relates to a disc commutator and a drum commutator for an electric motor having at least two commutator plates, each having a grinding surface segment for contacting a carbon brush, wherein the grinding surface segments are electrically separated from one another. In the disc commutator, the electrical separation runs between the grinding surface segments, inclined at an angle α to a commutator diameter. In the drum commutator, the electrical separation of the grinding surface segments is inclined in the longitudinal direction of the drum commutator, and encloses an angle ß with a projection of the rotational axis of the drum commutator onto the casing surface of the drum commutator.
The invention relates to the use of a carbon composite for manufacturing electrical contact elements of a fuel pump operated in a fuel environment, the contact elements being designed as molded carbon articles; in addition to carbon, the carbon composite comprises a duroplastic or thermoplastic binder and a metal moiety that amounts to more than 0.5% and less than 25% of the total mass of the carbon composite.
The invention relates to a method for producing a friction lining material and to a friction lining material having a pore body, the pores of which are filled with a filling material, wherein the design of the pore body is based on petroleum coke.
Proposed is an electric machine (30) which comprises a rotor (32), a commutator (20) having a contact surface (22) and a contact brush (12, 2a, 12b) having a running surface (10). The running surface (10) faces and is in electrical contact with the contact surface (22). In this way, the running surface (10) comprises at least one longitudinal recess (14) in a sub-region. The running surface is characterised in that the longitudinal recess (14) comprises a triangular cross-section. As a result, the recess (14) can be made in a transverse direction in a relatively narrow and precise manner, so that contact paths (34) of contact brushes (12, 12a, 12b) of different electric polarity can be substantially congruent and a degradation with different strengths of the electric contracts can be avoided.
The invention relates to a carbon brush arrangement for connection to an electric motor, comprising at least one carbon brush (17, 18), which is connected to a connection element (29) with a plastics connection housing (32), via a connection conductor (15, 16) that has a plastics sheath (24, 25), said plastics sheath (24, 25) consisting of perfluoroalkoxy polymer (PFA) in at least a transition region (33, 34) to the connection housing (32).
