The present invention relates to a composition for skin repigmentation comprising a peptide inhibitor of MIA (melanoma inhibitory activity) protein, at least an additional peptide, and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. Said peptide shows an increase of the expression of IRF4 gene, and that the combination of said peptide and commercially available peptide derivatives shows a synergistic effect on the expression of IRF4 and/or TYR genes. IRF4 gene is a biomarker associated with hair greying and TYR gene is a key enzyme in melanin synthesis.
