Wiring-integrity automatic monitoring system having improved features
An automatic monitoring system for monitoring the integrity of a wiring having a number of cables, the monitoring system having an integrity measuring unit designed to be coupled to the electrical wires in order to carry out measurements and check for the presence of faults along the electrical conductors, and a detection unit to detect a voltage present in the electrical wires and to enable the integrity measuring unit in case the voltage has a predetermined relation with a voltage threshold, indicating the fact that the electrical load is not powered by the power supply source. The integrity measuring unit has an impedance measuring circuit to apply a measurement signal to a circuit formed by the pair of electrical wires and to obtain a value of the impedance of the same circuit. The integrity measuring unit checks for the presence of a fault depending on the impedance value.

A wiring system is described in particular for the electrical connection between a first and a second carriage of a railway vehicle; the wiring system has at least one mobile wiring having a first and a second end connected to a respective connector designed for coupling to fixed panel elements carried by facing outside walls of the first and respectively, second carriages. The mobile wiring has a single sheath enclosing a number of cables separate and distinct, each designed for a different application, jointly designed to provide complete connectivity in terms of data and control signals between the carriages. The wiring system also provides for a first and a second fixed wiring, each arranged at a respective carriage, and designed to interface electrically with a respective end of the mobile wiring for the corresponding electrical connection to on-board equipment.

A monitoring system is described, to monitor the condition of an industrial wiring system provided with a multipolar electric cable with a number of electric conductors having a power and/or data transmission function and enclosed inside a protective sheath, wherein: monitoring conductors, to monitor wear of the electric cable, are arranged inside the protective sheath electrically insulated from the electric conductors; and a monitoring device is operatively coupled to the monitoring conductors so as to detect at least one electric parameter associated with the monitoring conductors to detect the wear of the electric cable and generate corresponding monitoring data. The monitoring device obtains its own power supply from, and/or transmits the monitoring data by means of, the electric conductors of the same electric cable.

A wiring system (1) is described in particular for the electrical connection between a first (2a) and a second (2b) carriage of a railway vehicle (3); the wiring system (1) has at least one mobile wiring (4) having a first and a second end connected to a respective connector (12) designed for coupling to fixed panel elements (8a, 8b) carried by facing outside walls of the first (2a) and respectively, second (2b) carriages. The mobile wiring (4) has a single sheath (10) enclosing a number of cables (11a-11d) separate and distinct, each designed for a different application, jointly designed to provide complete connectivity in terms of data and control signals between the carriages. The wiring system (19) also provides for a first (5a) and a second (5b) fixed wiring, each arranged at a respective carriage, and designed to interface electrically with a respective end of the mobile wiring for the corresponding electrical connection to onboard equipment (6a, 6b).
