Furthermore are disclosed methods of stretching pelts (1) accordingly.

A SCRAPING WHEEL, A SCRAPING ROLLER AND USE OF A SCRAPING WHEEL
Disclosed is a scraping wheel (1) for scraping the skin side (2) of an animal pelt (3). The scraping wheel (1) comprises a scraping roller (4) including a plurality of scraping teeth (5) arranged on the outer cylindrical roller surface (6) and the scraping roller (4) further comprises a centrally arranged axial roller hole (7). The scraping wheel (1) also comprises one or more hub parts (25, 26) arranged at least partly in the centrally arranged axial roller hole (7) and connected to the scraping roller (4) through a torque transmitting connection (9), wherein the one or more hub parts (25, 26) further comprise a centrally arranged axial hub hole (10) by which the scraping wheel (1) is mounted on a drive shaft (11) driving the rotation of the scraping wheel (1) during the scraping. Disclosed is also a scraping roller (4) for scraping of the skin side (2) of an animal pelt (3). The scraping roller (4) comprises a plurality of scraping teeth (5) arranged on the outer cylindrical roller surface (6) and the scraping roller (4) further comprises a centrally arranged axial roller hole (7), wherein the roller hole (7) is provided with a plurality of dovetail shaped splines (13). Use of a scraping wheel (1) is also disclosed.

The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for processing the skin side of a tubular fur (2), which apparatus (1) comprises: a mandrel (3) on which the tubular fur (2) can be drawn from a first part (3a) of the mandrel (3) towards a second part (3b) of the mandrel (3) so that the skin side of the fur (2) faces outwards and the fur side of the fur (2) faces inwards towards the mandrel (3), one or more scraper units (4, 5, 8, 9), each scraping unit comprising at least one scraper means (4a, 5a, 8a, 9a) configured for scraping said skin side when the fur (2) is arranged on the mandrel (3), and a cover (10) comprising a compartment (13) and an outlet (11), wherein said cover (10) is configured for enclosing at least a part of said mandrel (3) and at least one of said scraper means (4a, 5a, 8a, 9a) in said compartment (13) during operation, wherein said outlet (11) is arranged in a bottom part (12) of said cover (10), said bottom part (12) being arranged below said at least one scraper means, and wherein said cover (10) comprises walls with inner surfaces configured for leading material removed from said skin side by means of one or more of said one or more scraper means (4a, 5a, 8a, 9a) towards said bottom part (12).
The invention relates to an apparatus for processing the skin side of a tubular fur (2). One or more scraping means are configured for being arranged in a first position (POS1) away from a mandrel of the apparatus with a first distance (D1) in relation to the centre axis (CA) of the mandrel (3), and in a third position (POS3) where the scraping means (4a, 5a, 8a, 9a) are configured for being in contact with said skin side so as to process the skin side of said fur (2). An apparatus (2) and a process for the processing of pelts (4), where the pelt (4) is scraped in order to remove undesired fat and tissue from the flesh side (6) of the pelt (4), where the pelt (4) is placed on an oblong mandrel (8) which is displaced along a scraper device (10) comprising rotating scrapers (12) which are brought into contact with the flesh side (6) of the pelt (4), whereby undesired fat and tissue is removed by scraping it off. Following the scraping, the mandrel (8) with the pelt (4) is conveyed through a post treatment unit (16) consisting of one or more scrapers (18), such that the pelt (4) is brought into contract with one or more scrapers (18) which, in the presence of sawdust (21) or other absorbent material, perform a further scraping.
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for stretching a pelt on a pelt board, by determining a length of the pelt and adjusting the stretch force in accordance whit the determined length. In particular, the length may be determined prior to stretching of the pelt, or the length may be determined after the primary stretching of the pelt stretching the pelt, where after the stretching force is reduced before securing the pelt to the pelt board.
