The invention concerns a recreational device for fishing and observing fish at a variety of beaches and shores, and belongs to the field of games and toys for a variety of beaches and shores and to the snorkelling field. The invention consists of a fish trap stabilised under the surface of the water and able to be moved easily, consisting of: - an enclosure (4) provided with an opening (5), intended to allow the fish to enter, and - means for stabilising the device vertically in the water just below the surface. Said stabilisation means comprise, in the top part of the enclosure (4), an isolated enclosure (2) and, in the bottom part of the enclosure (4), a ballasting means (7). Preferably, the enclosure (4) has, in the top part and in the bottom part (6) of same, at least one means for attaching a cord (1) (8), and openings (3) (9) allowing air or water to be discharged from the device.
