The present invention also discloses a preparing method for preparing 2-chloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine, which is capable of reducing unit consumption, reducing separation cost, and improving safety compared to the prior art.

The present invention provides a method for the preparation of 2-chloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine. The 2-chloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine is prepared by means of two steps, including a chlorofluorination reaction and a chlorination reaction. The chlorination catalyst used in the chlorination reaction is selected from fluorides, oxides, hydroxides, carbonates or chlorides of magnesium, calcium and barium, and supported palladium catalysts. The 2-chloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine can also be obtained by a gas phase reaction of 3-trifluoromethylpyridine and chlorine gas under the action of at least one catalyst selected from ZSM-5, 5A, β and 13X molecular sieves. Alternatively, the 2-chloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine is obtained by a gas phase reaction of 3-trifluoromethylpyridine and chlorine gas under the action of a catalyst selected from fluorides, oxides, hydroxides, carbonates or chlorides of magnesium, calcium and barium, and supported palladium catalysts. The present invention has the characteristics of having cheap raw materials that are easy to obtain, the operation is safe, the product yield is high, the catalyst is easily separable and recoverable, the reaction is environmentally friendly, the reaction speed is fast, and continuous mass production is possible.
Disclosed in the present invention is a method for preparing 2,3-dichloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine, in which 2-chloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine and chlorine gas react to give 2,3-dichloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine under the action of a catalyst selected from at least one of supported metal chlorides, supported zeolite molecular sieves and supported heteropolyacids at a temperature of 100 to 150 °C and a pressure of 0.5 to 5.0 MPa. The preparation method provided by the present invention has the advantages of high selectivity of a target product, high utilization rate of chlorine gas, mild process conditions, simple operation and low amounts of the three wastes. Further disclosed in the present invention is a preparation method for 2-chloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine which can reduce unit consumption, reduce separation cost and improve safety compared with those in the prior art.
