A system and method for filtering chirp noise as it passes through a Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) gateway in a communication network is disclosed. Radio signals often include a short burst of chirm noise. Incoming signals are buffered and any chirp noise is detected. A chirp filter performs the filtering operation to remove chirp signal while ensuring true audio in not clipped. Without audio clipping the integrity of the audio signals are preserved.
A training round (120) for performing indirect tire mission, including a top end (200) oriented towards a direction of projectile motion of the training round. A bottom end (210) is situated opposite to the top end. The top end and the bottom end are separated by a first distance. An adjuster (220) is arranged between the top end and the bottom end to adjust a length of the training round. The adjuster compresses such that the top end and the bottom end are separated by a second distance. The second distance is less than the first distance. A round sensor (130) attached to the training round and communicatively couples to a simulation computer while performing the indirect fire training mission.

A method and a system for enhancing contrast for an electro-optical video for live streaming is disclosed. An image block from an electro-optical frame of a video is received, where a number of pixels in the image block are identified to compute intensity of the image block. A distribution of intensity of the number of pixels in the image block is determined, and from the distribution, a degree of variation is determined, where a lower threshold and upper threshold for the intensity are determined. An upper set of pixels and a lower set of pixels is determined, which is then used to modify the distribution. The degree of variation is modified to determine uniformity in distribution intensity. A transform using the uniformity is constructed to enhance the contrast of the image block. The contrast of all image blocks of the electro-optical is enhanced by applying the transform.

SHORT RANGE RADAR USE IN TRANSPORTATION ACCESS SYSTEMS
A transportation system for identifying an object using a short range radar at a transportation gate. The transportation system includes one or more short range radars and a cloud server. The radars detect the object within a predetermined distance from the transportation gate and sense the object to generate a point cloud. An identification of the object is determined based on sensed data of the object using a machine learning algorithm from the cloud server. The identification is determined based on matching the point cloud with a plurality of profiles. The plurality of profiles includes matching information for a plurality of predetermined objects. The object is selected from the plurality of predetermined objects using the matching information. An authorization for the object is determined using another machine learning algorithm. Based on the authorization, either the passage through the transportation gate is authorized or the object is flagged as unauthorized.

A system and method for self-learning operation of gate paddles is disclosed. Opening and closing of the gate paddles requires timing and other settings to avoid injury and fare evasion. Self-learning allows a machine learning model to adapt to new data dynamically. The new data captured at a fare gate improves the machine learning model, which can be shared the other similar fare gates within a transit system so that learning disseminates.
A fare gate in a transportation system including a barrier, a sensor, and an actuator. The actuator moves the barrier from the open position into the closed position. The sensor is mounted on the barrier and in one position captures sensor data across an aisle formed by the fare gate. A transit user in front of the barrier in another position is identified by the sensor. The transit user passes through the fare gate using the aisle. The actuator moves the barrier from a closed position to an open position to clear passage through the aisle. Using the sensor, the aisle is scanned with a movement of the barrier. The sensor is calibrated based on a predetermined point with movement of the barrier to align the sensor and the predetermined point.

Methods and systems for indicating an audio forwarding failure at a Radio-over-Internet-Protocol (RoIP) gateway device of a RoIP system is disclosed. In one step, audio communication is detected from a radio handset communicatively coupled with the RoIP gateway device and is buffered. When an error in forwarding the audio communication to at least a portion of devices connected to the RoIP system, an audio notification indicative of the error is sent to the radio handset after determining the audio communication from the radio handset has ended.

A method of providing adaptive transit resource allocation may include receiving journey planning information from a mobile device. The method may include generating one or more routes based on the journey planning information. The method may include providing the one or more routes and details associated with each of the routes to the mobile device. The method may include receiving a selection of one of the one or more routes from the mobile device. The method may include analyzing the selection and selected routes from a number of other mobile devices. The method may include adjusting an allocation of transit resources based on the analysis.

A base station server of a combat simulation system includes, a communications interface, a processor and a memory. The memory has instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to receive an indication of a trigger pull from a weapon device and receive a data packet from the weapon device. The data packet may include an orientation of the weapon device and a position of the weapon device. The instructions further cause the processor to determine a position and an orientation of a target and identify a ballistic path of a simulated projectile fired from the weapon device. The ballistic path may be based at least in part on the orientation and the position of the weapon device. The instructions further cause the processor to determine a ballistic outcome by identifying whether the ballistic path intersects with the position of the target.
A laserless combat simulation device includes at least one processing device and a memory device having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the at least one processing device cause the at least one processing device to receive a trigger event from a weapon device. The instructions further cause the at least one processing device to receive image data from an optical sensor array of the weapon device of a field of view of the weapon device, receive position information and orientation information of the weapon device at the time of the trigger event, analyze the image data to determine an identity and location of a target, and calculate a ballistic outcome based at least in part on the position information and orientation information of the weapon device, the identity and location of the target, and ballistic characteristics of a simulated round fired from the weapon device.
Techniques are disclosed for performing an initialization process for a set of FOV sensors using a set of initialization modules that are attachable to or integrated with the set of FOV sensors. A vertical distance associated with the set of FOV sensors is detected. An inter-module distance between a first initialization module and a second initialization module is detected. It is determined whether a placement of the second initialization module with respect to the first initialization module is acceptable based on the vertical distance and the inter-module distance. A feedback signal indicating whether the placement is acceptable is generated. The feedback signal is outputted at one or both of the first initialization module and the second initialization module.

A method of determining real-time tax and/or subsidy information includes obtaining, from an operator, trip-related information regarding a trip and determining a target objective associated with trip routing at a time of receipt of the trip- related information. The method includes obtaining additional information from one or more additional data sources based on the target objective and the trip-related information, determining, based on the trip-related information and the additional information, a tax or subsidy associated with the trip, and providing information indicative of the tax or subsidy to the operator.

Embodiments disclosed herein provide a graphical user interface in which a user can quickly correct geospatial metadata accompanying a live video feed. More specifically, the graphical user interface can allow a user to quickly correlate one or more locations in the underlying video to one or more locations within the map data, thereby “anchoring” locations in the map data with locations in the video feed. These locations can then be used to correct the displayed alignment between the map information and video feed, as well as correct the geospatial metadata itself. Furthermore, tracking algorithms can be used to track the correlated locations, foregoing the need to provide manual correction for every frame of video.
