Further, β-myrcene has been determined to raise the saturation level of the cannabinoid receptor CB1 for phytocannabinoids such as delta(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol, and to increase cell membrane permeability for itself as well as cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and other naturally occurring cannabis compounds, thereby improving therapeutic benefits of cannbis formulations.
