A drive device for an electrically swinging cradle comprises an oscillation mechanism (1) disposed on a swinging body (51) of a cradle (5) and an electrical motor (2) for driving the oscillation of the oscillation mechanism (1). A grating (43) and a photoelectronic coupler (44) capable of detecting the position of the oscillation mechanism (1) are disposed on the oscillation mechanism (1). A micro control processor (42) capable of controlling the photoelectronic coupler (44) to detect the grating (43) and adjusting the rotational speed of the electrical motor (2) is electrically connected to the photoelectronic coupler (44). The micro control processor (42) is electrically connected to an acceleration sensor (41) for detecting the acceleration of the swinging body (51). The drive device is capable of accurately tracking the inherent frequency of a cradle, so as to make the swinging scope of the cradle uniform, and simultaneously reduce the power consumption. The device has a small volume, a simple structure, and a low cost.
