When the acceleration apparatus is installed on a hub shaft and a bicycle is ridden using the acceleration apparatus on the bicycle, the rotational force can be increased two-fold or more, the apparatus is made compatible with a chain gear, is protected from external impacts, can prevent snagging, and can also have various types of gear devices externally installed thereon.

The present invention relates to an accelerating apparatus for a bicycle for improving the speed of travel. The accelerating apparatus of the present invention includes a sun gear, a planetary gear, and a ring gear, which are well known, and has a structure which can be easily mounted on a hub shaft of a driving wheel of a bicycle even without using a separate connection member. By applying the present invention to a general bicycle or a small bicycle, which adopt a transmission chain gear system or a general chain driving system, the rotation speed of a driving wheel is doubled in accordance with the proportion of the installed gear and the rotating speed of the driving wheel is double the common maximum speed, thus the travel speed of a general bicycle which requires a relatively great amount of power to be increased, can be increased with a small amount power.
