The present invention refers to the use of synthetic peptides built from the selection of peptides available on the surface of filamentous phages and that bind to the FabC4 antibody fragment with clinical relevance in the diagnosis of Breast Cancer (BC) and in the prognosis of Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). The present invention relates to the process of producing artificial aggregate from tailings from ore dams. The iron ore sandy tailings are mixed with a binder and, through the mixing and pelletizing process, form the artificial aggregate. One of the greatest difficulties encountered in the treatment of Chagas disease by chemotherapy is the natural resistance of T. cruzi to the pharmaceuticals available, and also the fact that parasites that are resistant to a certain compound are also resistant to other compounds. The same occurs in the treatment of cancer, where resistance to chemotherapeutic agents is daily increasing. The aim of the present invention is to provide substances having pharmacological activity and effectiveness for use as a pharmaceutical product for humans and animals, and useful for treating diseases caused by naturally resistant parasites, in particular T. cruzi and other parasites, such as those belonging to Leishmania species, and also for the treatment of cancer. The activity of furan heliangolide sesquiterpenoid compounds has been clearly verified in vivo and in vitro, in particular that of licnofolide (1), the NC-LIC presenting the best results (P < 0.005) for the treatment of infection by T. cruzi of mice infected with all the strains studied, including animals infected with the Colombian strain, which is 100% resistant to BZ, both with regard to parasitemia (CL, Y and Colombian strains) and survival of the animals (CL, Y and Colombian strains). Free lactone (free LIC9) also showed partial results for both parameters (parasitemia and survival). This confirms the previously studied activity of this lactone in vitro (Oliveira et al., Phytotherapy Research, 10(4), 292-295, 1996) and constitutes the first evidence of the potential of this substance for the treatment in vivo of parasite samples with different resistance or sensitivity profiles to drugs conventionally used for the treatment of human Chagas disease (benznidazole and nifurtimox). It was also demonstrated that the best results were observed with a formulation contained in polymeric nanocapsules obtained from PCL polymers and also from polylactic acid covalently bonded to polyethyleneglycol, the so-called stealth nanocapsules, which were described for the first time by Mosqueira et alia (Mosqueira et alia, Journal of Drug Targeting, vol. 7, no. 1, pages 65-78, 1999).

The present invention proposes an innovation in the process of colouring stainless steels in a sulphochromic solution by a pulsed current, in that the chrome content in the colouring bath is drastically smaller so as to increase the sustainability of the process. In the newly proposed method, the low chrome concentration, of between 4 and 43 g/L of CrO3 in the colouring solution, results in even cleaner technology, providing a more favourable working environment, and also a substantial decrease in production costs. The coloured stainless steels produced using this new method are homogenously coloured and have good resistance to abrasion, being comparable to those obtained using commercial processes, via electrochemistry. Other process parameters must be adjusted in order to compensate for the reduced amount of chrome and ensure product quality. The coloured stainless steel produced by means of the present invention can be used in the building and architecture industries, for covering external and internal walls, ceilings and roofs, sanitary metals, urban furniture, road signs and works of art such as sculptures. This process consists of the following steps: (1) degreasing, (2) washing, (3) electrochemical pre-treatment, (4) washing, (5) colouring in a sulphochromic solution with low chrome content, at a temperature of 25°C to 75°C, applying a current, followed by (6) washing, (7) electrochemical hardening and (8) washing.

The present invention relates to a level sensor that can be implemented at a low cost, without affecting already existing interfaces, and that identifies the real volume of fuel in a vehicle tank, dampening oscillations and correcting level differences at the surface of the fuel caused by movements of the vehicle. The high-precision, oscillation-proof fuel level sensor according to the present invention comprises a central module (1) with an electric connection point for the sensor (2); a front actuation support rod (3) and the respective floating element (5); a rear actuation support rod (4) and the respective floating element (6). Due to the high reading precision of the level sensor according to the present invention, a liquid crystal display (LCD) is used in the vehicle dashboard, not only for monitoring the fuel level in the conventional manner, but all for tracking the fuel level during refuelling. In both cases, the information generated by the sensor is processed by the computer of the system proposed by the present invention.
