A multi-layer cored wire is composed of an outer steel strip of an outer layer (1), heat insulating materials of the outer layer (2), an inner steel strip of the outer layer (3), metal powders of the outer layer (4), an outer steel strip of an inner layer (5), heat insulating materials of the inner layer (6), a inner steel strip of the inner layer (7) and metal powders of the inner layer (8). An inner steel band is formed by inserting the heat insulating materials of the inner layer between the outer steel strip of the inner layer and the inner steel strip of the inner layer, and then an inner cored wire is formed by filling the metal powders of the inner layer in the inner steel band. An outer steel band is formed by inserting the heat insulating materials of the outer layer between the outer steel strip of the outer layer and the inner steel strip of the outer layer, and then the multi-layer cored wire is formed by packaging the inner cored wire with the outer steel band and filling the metal powders of the outer layer between the outer steel band and the inner steel band. The multi-layer cored wire which has two layers of steel bands can reach the bottom of metal solution and make the metal powders be added into the metal solution uniformly.
