A wave-propelled vehicle adapted to float at a surface of a body of fluid and having a hull, wherein the hull includes an upper hull portion and a lower hull portion, the lower hull portion having a hydrofoil structure defining an upward facing concavity, wherein the vehicle generates thrust in response to waves on the body of fluid.

Example implementations provide fluid-borne vehicles comprising a body and a plurality of thrust vectoring modules, each thrust vectoring module comprising a set of thrust producing means, wherein a first thrust producing means, mounted on a first mounting bar having a first mounting bar axis, is rotatable about the mounting bar axis and the mounting bar axis is rotatable about an arm having an arm axis that is nonparallel to the mounting bar axis; and a second thrust producing means, mounted on a second mounting bar having a second mounting bar axis, is rotatable about the second mounting bar axis and the second mounting bar axis is rotatable about the arm axis that is nonparallel to the second mounting bar axis.

A control system for a vehicle having means to induce a flow of an ambient fluid. The control system comprises two or more arrays of vanes (130) arranged in proximity to the thrust axis of a means to induce fluid flow. Each array of vanes has two or more vanes and a vane supporting structure and is arranged to interact with flow of fluid from the means to induce fluid flow in order to influence the forces and moments acting on the vehicle. An array of vanes is rotatable (132, 133) independently of another of the arrays of vanes about an axis which is not substantially parallel to the thrust axis of the means to induce fluid flow.
