The swiveling area (1) is part of a shaft (8) or is connected thereto, said shaft (8) supporting a support (6). A pivotable component, e.g. a cabinet door, is connected to the support (6). The swiveling area (1) can be swiveled against the surface (10) of a locking plate (11), can displace said locking plate (11) counter to a spring tension, and can be moved past said locking plate (11) after overcoming a frictional force. Bracing the locking plate (11) and the swiveling area (1) against each other results in great resistance against the swiveling action.
