A linear executing mechanism for model airplanes comprises a bottom plate, a drive part, a transmission part and a linear executing part. The drive part and the linear executing part are installed on two sides of the bottom plate respectively. A model airplane steering engine, which uses a potentiometer for feeding back position signals, comprises a motor (4), a rotary potentiometer (8), a screw rod (5), a frame (3) and a gear set. The motor (4) is connected with a drive gear (2) of the gear set, and a driven gear (9) of the gear set is connected with the screw rod (5), while the screw rod (5) is connected with the rotary potentiometer (8) through an adjusting device.
