The preparation method for the composition comprises the following steps: obtaining compound essential oil by using a steam distillation extraction method; grinding American ginseng, polygonum multiflorum, Angelica sinensis, and peppermint into powder; adding the American ginseng, the polygonum multiflorum, the Angelica sinensis, and the peppermint into deionized water; heating the deionized water to obtain concentrated liquid medicine; and adding ginger juice to the concentrated liquid medicine to obtain liquid medicine for hair growth, and mixing the liquid medicine for hair growth and the compound essential oil to obtain the Chinese medicine essential oil composition. The composition can be effectively used for treating hair loss and promoting hair growth and has no side effects.
