The present invention relates to a method for opening and closing wings of a special vehicle, which opens and closes the wings of a wing body truck by an opening and closing device provided inside a loading compartment of the special vehicle and, more specifically, to a method for opening and closing wings of a special vehicle, wherein the opening and closing device of the special vehicle comprises: a driving motor provided inside the loading compartment; a screw rotated by the driving motor; and a hollow shaft which is a hollow body, into which the end portion of the screw is inserted through one end thereof and of which the other end is hinge-coupled to the inner surface of the wing, and threads are formed on the inner periphery of an inlet portion of the hollow shaft corresponding to the screw, such that the hollow shaft moves forwards and backwards along the longitudinal direction of the screw as the screw rotates in position, thereby opening and closing the wings of the special vehicle. Therefore, the present invention has remarkable effects of: having relatively low manufacturing costs because of a simple structure; loading heavier freight since a motor is used as a driving device such that the load thereof is less than that of an existing hydraulic cylinder; also loading more freight in the vehicle since an installation space occupied in the vehicle is small; and the like.
