To provide a method with which it is possible to avoid the occurrence of deformation in one member due to flow of thermoplastic resin that has formed a liquid phase when two members made of a material containing a thermoplastic resin are joined by fusion. Provided is a method for charging, with ceramic, open pores formed in a matrix of a ceramic matrix composite that includes the matrix and reinforcing fibers provided in the matrix. The prepreg sheets each include thermoplastic resin and reinforcement fibers, and differ from each other in fiber orientation.
