CONTROL METHOD OF A WEFT INSERTION SYSTEM OF A GRIPPER LOOM
Method for controlling the weft insertion system of a gripper loom wherein a carrying gripper and a drawing gripper are alternately driven, inside the shed formed between the warp threads, by a pair of toothed wheels (W) through corresponding flexible straps (B) bearing at one end said carrying gripper and said drawing gripper, respectively, wherein said straps (B) are meshed on said toothed wheels (W) by means of a series of slots longitudinally formed in the body of the straps (B), and they are kept adherent to a sector of said toothed wheels (W) by means of guide slides (S), said system operation being monitored by a central control unit (LCU) of the loom. The controlling method includes the steps of: a.continuously detecting the surface temperature of the straps (B) during the loom operation; b.calculating parameters which are representative of the loom operation on the basis of the surface temperature at rest (Ti) and of the surface temperature under friction (Tf) of the straps (B), of the difference between said temperatures (ΔΤ), and of their variations over time; c.comparing said parameters which are representative of the loom operation with respective predefined threshold values; and d.sending alert messages to the operator or command messages to the central control unit of the loom when the values of said two different group of parameters exceed said reference threshold values.

SYSTEM FOR QUICKLY COUPLING HEALD FRAMES TO THE RESPECTIVE ACTUATING TIE RODS IN A WEAVING LOOM
A system for quickly coupling heald frames (H) to the respective actuating tie rods (1) in a weaving loom, of the type in which said tie rods (1) are arranged in groups of adjacent tie rods which operate by lateral coupling, on a same connection area (3) of the heald frames (H) and in which each one of said tie rods (1) is provided with a semi-automatic push- coupling device (2) apt to be push-coupled to a respective heald frame connection (3). The system comprises one multiple lever support (5) apt to house all the active tie rods (la) of each one of said groups of tie rods in a pre-coupling position, in which pre-coupling position the coupling device (2a) of each active tie rod (1a) is laterally aligned to the respective heald frame connection (3) and is adjacent to the vertical insertion path of said heald frame (H) with a predetermined clearance (11). The multiple lever support (5) is apt to move said active tie rods (la) between: a. said pre-coupling position, and b. a coupling position, wherein the coupling devices (2) of all the active actuating tie rods (1) are engaged with the respective heald frame connections (3).
Control mechanism of the grippers in a shuttleless weaving loom, of the type comprising a slider (3) provided with reciprocating rectilinear movement, a variable-pitch worm screw (5) drawn by such slider (3) into a reciprocating rotary movement, a toothed gear (D) coaxial and integral with said variable-pitch worm screw (5), and perforated flexible straps (N) which engage on one end with the teeth of said gear and which control, with the opposite end, said grippers. The movement from said slider (3) to the variable-pitch worm screw (5) is transferred through a coupling comprising multiple pairs of opposite sliding blocks (P, 6), slidable on the opposite lateral surfaces of the threads of said variable-pitch worm screw (5), the sliding blocks (6) of each pair being integral to each other and with a common support pivoted idle on the slider (3) according to an axis (Z) orthogonal to the axis (H) of the variable-pitch worm screw (5).
