A latch assembly for a door having a door body mounted on a door frame includes a retainer movable between a latching position and a non-latching position and configured, in the latching position, to retain the door body in a closed position, and to permit the door body to move with respect to the door frame in the non-latching position to an open position. An actuator is selectively moveable to change the retainer from the latching position to a non-latching position. A linkage is configured to move the retainer in a latching direction toward the latching position and in an unlatching direction toward the non-latching position responsive to actuation of the actuator. A crank is operatively connected to the actuator and linkage and configured to move the retainer toward the latching position as the retainer approaches the latching position.

Controlling energy usage of a building. At least one temperature sensor monitors temperature within a zone of a building. A processor determines an off-peak temperature target as a function of a duration of an off-peak operating state of the monitored zone and a desired temperature within the monitored zone during a subsequent peak operating state of the monitored zone. A controller receives the determined off-peak temperature target and is responsive to the received off-peak temperature target to control the temperature within the monitored zone of the building during the off-peak operating state. Other aspects of the invention are directed to computer-readable media for controlling energy usage of a building as described.

A mine door of the present invention is adaptedfor installation in a mine passageway and includes a doorunit adapted for swinging between a closed position and anopen position. The door unit may be mounted in a frame, anda stopping wall may surround the frame. When closed, thedoor unit is subject to a differential in air pressureinvolving higher pressure on one of the faces of the doorunit than on the other of the faces of the door unit. Thedoor unit has a man doorway closed by a man door. The doorunit, the frame, or the stopping has a pressure reliefopening therein for passage of air therethrough fromadjacent the one of the faces of the door unit to adjacentthe other of the faces to more nearly equalize the pressureon the faces and thereby facilitate opening the door unit. The pressure relief opening is smaller than the man doorway.
