The machining tool of the present invention comprises: an upper shaft body (1) which is attached to a higher-level device and to which torque is transmitted; a tilting device (3) which is coupled to a tip end side of the upper shaft body (1), comprises a fixed yoke (3a) and a tilting yoke (3b), and is provided with a pin (3dx) for rotating the tilting yoke (3b) in one direction, and a pin (3dy) for rotating the tilting yoke (3b) in a direction orthogonal to the one direction; a main body drive shaft (4) provided at an upper end thereof with a tilting plate (7) coupled to the tilting yoke (3b); a holder (5) which is inserted into a tip end side of the main body drive shaft (4), and in which a cutting tool (6) is mounted; and a tilt support mechanism (15) which abuts a lower surface of the tilting plate (7) and which supports the tilting of the tilting plate (7) using steel balls (12).
